SHOTLIST: ATHENS, GREECE (AUG. 28, 2026) 1. VARIOUS OF PARTIAL LUNAR ECLIPSE BEING OBSERVED SCRIPT A partial lunar eclipse, created as the Moon passed through Earth's shadow, was observed in the Greek capital of Athens on Friday, Aug. 28. Unlike a total lunar eclipse, a small portion of the Moon will remain outside Earth’s darkest shadow. Lunar eclipses occur when Earth aligns directly between the Sun and the Moon, casting a shadow across the lunar surface. A partial eclipse happens when only a portion of the Moon enters Earth's dark inner shadow, known as the umbra.
