VARIOUS OF HEAVY MACHINERY CLEARING RUBBLE AROUND SITEGAZA CITY, PALESTINE - SEP. 5, 2026: Palestinian civil defense teams began searching the rubble of Engineers Tower in Gaza's Nuseirat refugee camp on Saturday, Sep. 5, for the remains of about 150 Palestinians believed to be buried there, using a single excavator. The six-storey, 24-apartment building was destroyed in an Israeli strike on Oct. 31, 2023, during Israel's military campaign in Gaza. Since Oct. 8, 2023, Israel has been carrying out genocide in Gaza, killing at least 73,470 Palestinians and injuring 174,540 as of Thursday, while victims remain under the rubble and on roads that ambulance and rescue teams cannot reach.
