"The topics of the meeting were Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine on the eve of the war’s fourth anniversary, strengthening Europe’s defense capabilities and security, bilateral relations between Finland and France, and the current global political situation," according to a statement released by the office of the Finnish president. Macron greeted Stubb upon his arrival at the presidential residence, shaking hands before the two leaders posed for photographs.
