The retrospective commemorates the upcoming 250th anniversary of US independence, showcasing Bartholdi’s original artworks. Bartholdi, a 19th-century French sculptor, originally designed the Statue of Liberty as a gift from France to mark the 1876 centennial of American independence. Bartholdi’s sculptures and architectural studies will remain on display at the Musee d’Orsay through Jan. 31, 2027.
