FKA Twigs confirmed to play Josephine Baker in movie biopic.

The Grammy-winning singer will portray the trailblazing American-born French dancer, singer, actor and civil rights activist in the film, which has been developed with the cooperation of Baker's surviving sons, Jean-Claude and Brian Bouillon Baker. "I am honoured to collaborate with the immensely talented Maïmouna Doucouré on this incredible project," FKA Twigs, real name Tahliah Barnett, said in a statement. "Josephine Baker's extraordinary legacy is such an inspiration to me and to so many people around the world. She lives on in our hearts as a visionary, ground-breaking woman whose story is as powerful as it is relevant today."
