The blaze broke out among moored vessels at the port. The cause of the fire was not immediately known. The National Secretariat for Risk Management (SNGR) said damage assessment and needs analysis operations were continuing in coordination with local authorities. Large flames and thick black smoke rose above the port as emergency crews responded to the incident. Authorities said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
