U.S. students waving national flags of China, U.S. Storyline A recent survey suggests there has been a generational shift in American attitudes toward China, with younger Americans more supportive of engagement and cooperation between the two countries. Nearly 100 young students from 10 U.S. universities, including Harvard University, recently participated in the "Future Makers 2026: China-U.S. Youth Tour for a Shared Asia-Pacific Future," during which they met Chinese peers and visited some of China's most renowned heritage sites and advanced tech facilities. After the trip, they wrote to Chinese President Xi Jinping, sharing their reflections on the trip and expressing their willingness to contribute to U.S.-China friendship. In his reply on Tuesday, Xi encouraged young people from both countries to promote friendship.
