Storyline Vinegar heritage tours boost tourism in east China's Zhenjiang City The Hengshun vinegar factory and museum in eastern China’s Zhenjiang City has transformed itself into an immersive industrial tourism destination. The museum includes tours of the vinegar making process where visitors see how the rice is steamed, brewed, and fermented before the vinegar is extracted, simmered and aged. The museum has been designated a national 4A-level tourist attraction. Guests can also tour the automated bottling facility. Zeng Huifang, tourist: "I tried making vinegar myself. It was great. I took photos and experienced it firsthand. It was really a good experience." Today, the museum welcomes more than 200,000 visitors annually, while its industrial tourism operations generate over $1.4 million U.S dollars in annual revenue.
