Sea waves Storyline Typhoon Bavi swept across northeast China's Liaoning Province on Tuesday, unleashing gale-force winds and torrential rain, with gusts at over 20 meters per second recorded near an offshore wind farm in Dalian City. In the area surrounding the offshore wind farm off Nandao Island in Dalian, wind gusts measuring at least 20 meters per second were registered. Live footage from industrial cameras showed a gloomy sea with churning waves, as heavy rain pelted the camera lenses. The wind turbines at the Datang Nandao Offshore Wind Farm continued to spin amid the wind and rain and the Datang Taiyangshan Substation in Changtu County was also shrouded in a curtain of torrential rain. Since the typhoon made landfall, the Liaoning Branch of China Datang Corporation has activated its emergency response and maintained a 24-hour on-site duty roster. Currently, the power generating units are operating normally, and the power supply remains safe and stable.
