China: Chinese men camp with car air conditioning under plastic cover.

Shanghai, China - June 30, 2026 On July 1, 2026, in Shanghai, located on the central coast of east China, a video captured two men trying to stay cool while camping in a wooded outdoor area. The men drove into the forest to escape the heat. The car owner then opened the car’s air conditioner, lifted the trunk, and covered the back of the vehicle with a large plastic sheet. The plastic sheet created a small enclosed space behind the car. Inside, the men used an induction cooker to prepare food and set up a table and chairs for eating. One man could be seen enjoying the meal inside the makeshift cooling area. Chinese netizens joked that the clever idea might backfire because the air conditioner could end up filled with cooking fumes.
