Shandong, China - September 18, 2021 On September 19, 2021, in Shandong province, located in eastern China, a video captured a boy trying to help a stray cat trapped on a wall. The boy’s mother saw from a window that her son was standing below the wall while holding a yellow plastic road sign high above his head. A stray cat was on the wall and seemed too afraid to jump down. The boy first tried to use the road sign to catch the cat, but the animal remained scared. His mother then gave him a cardboard box. The boy lifted the box toward the cat’s position and waited patiently. After hesitating for a moment, the cat finally jumped safely into the box, and the boy happily carried it away.
