Kathmandu, Nepal - September 02, 2026 Nepal Army personnel provide a military funeral honors to the 'Kush' grass effigies (representing missing flood victims) during symbolic Hindu cremation rites at Pashupatinath Temple on the banks of Bagmati river in Kathmandu. Bereaved families, with the support of the Nepal Army, held these symbolic ceremonies to 'liberate the souls' of loved ones unaccounted for after deadly flash floods devastated villages in the region a week prior.
