1:07
For my breakfast this week, I'm making a
1:09
protein breakfast roll. I'm going to
1:12
pair this with some fruit. We just got a
1:13
really good watermelon. So, we'll do
1:15
some watermelon with this. And let me
1:17
show you what you'll need. You need some
1:18
type of sausage. I'm going to do Jimmy
1:20
Dean fully cooked turkey sausage
1:22
crumbles. low calorie, low fat, low
1:24
point, and then I've got two cans of
1:26
reduced fat crescent rolls, milk, salt
1:29
and pepper, eggs, some type of cream
1:32
cheese. It wanted a a different one. I
1:34
can't remember what it was, a veggie
1:36
one. I couldn't find it. And you have to
1:38
do whipped, so I did the garlic and
1:40
herb. I also opted for pre-cooked bacon
1:42
just to make it easy. Shredded cheese,
1:45
light or regular, and a red bell pepper.
1:47
So, the first thing we're going to do is
1:49
scramble up our eggs. So, I have a
1:51
couple tablespoons of chopped red bell
1:52
pepper. And then I'm going to crack in
1:54
four eggs,
1:57
just about a tablespoon of milk, and
2:00
some salt and pepper.
2:07
Whisk that together. And then we're just
2:09
going to scramble these on the stove
2:11
top. So, I opened up both my cans of
2:14
crescent dough, put it on a greased
2:16
baking sheet. I'm going to kind of pinch
2:19
it all together to form one sheet. Then
2:22
we're going to spread a/3 cup of the
2:25
cream cheese over the dough.
2:28
And then we want 8 oz of the turkey
2:31
sausage crumbles, which is almost the
2:33
full pack. We're going to sprinkle that
2:35
on top.
2:38
Then four slices of cooked bacon
2:40
crumbled. And then our scrambled eggs.
2:46
And then one cup of shredded cheese.
2:50
And then we're going to roll the dough
2:52
as tightly as we can to squeeze all of
2:56
those edges together.
2:58
And then using a serrated knife, we're
3:00
going to cut this into 12 pieces.
3:05
I'm actually going to cut it into eight
3:07
just so I have a little bit bigger
3:09
pieces, but the original recipe does say
3:12
12. Once it's fully cooked, I could even
3:14
slice these in half again and get 16
3:16
pieces. Troy will eat these, too. So,
3:19
we'll kind of see what they look like
3:20
when they're done. But, they're going
3:21
into a 350ยฐree oven until the crescent
3:24
dough is cooked, brown, and crispy. My
3:27
breakfast rolls are basking in the
3:28
sunlight of the morning. But these just
3:30
came out of the oven. Oh my goodness,
3:32
these look absolutely incredible. They
3:36
are large, so I actually will probably
3:38
slice these in half. and that will give
3:40
me 16 breakfast rolls. So, I'll put all
3:43
the points calories information here for
3:46
12 since that's what the original recipe
3:48
called for lunch this week. I'm making
3:50
homemade pizza pockets and I am excited
3:52
about it. Let me show you what you'll
3:55
need. So, you're going to need either a
3:57
re pre-made pizza crust or you can make
3:59
homemade. I decided just to go with
4:00
this. The macros aren't that different
4:02
than making it myself and this is much
4:04
easier. Also, some turkey pepperoni. I'm
4:07
going to add in some mushrooms, part
4:09
skin mozzarella. I'm also going to add
4:11
in some bell pepper and some fresh
4:13
basil, Italian seasoning, parmesan
4:16
cheese, and pizza sauce. You can also
4:18
add in some red pepper chili flakes. So,
4:20
I went ahead and cut my pre-made pizza
4:22
dough into six rectangles. Then, onto
4:25
each of the squares, I'm going to add
4:27
about a tablespoon of pizza sauce. We're
4:30
going to spread that out, but leave
4:32
those edges without any sauce. And then
4:36
we're going to add about a tablespoon of
4:37
mozzarella to each pizza pocket
4:41
and about a teaspoon of parmesan,
4:45
six pieces of turkey pepperoni,
4:50
[Applause]
4:54
and then any other desired topping. So,
4:56
I'm going to add just a little bit of
4:58
mushrooms and a little bit of
5:02
bell pepper, some Italian seasoning, and
5:05
then some fresh basil.
5:09
And then we're going to fold these over
5:11
to create a pizza pocket.
5:17
And then we're going to seal these
5:19
edges. You can even seal them with a
5:21
fork
5:22
just to keep all those toppings inside.
5:25
And then we're going to transfer to a
5:28
parchment lined baking sheet.
5:31
I'm going to spray my pizza pockets with
5:33
some non-stick cooking spray. You could
5:35
also do an egg wash.
5:37
And then I'm going to put a teeny bit
5:39
more basil right on top. And then these
5:42
are going into a 375ยฐ
5:44
oven until that dough is nice and cooked
5:47
through. So here are the pizza pockets.
5:50
These are adorable. What a perfect
5:52
perfect lunch. I'll go ahead and put all
5:55
the information here on the screen for
5:56
you. For a sweet treat this week, I'm
5:58
making cinnamon roll sugar cookies. I'm
6:00
so excited for these. Let me show you
6:02
what you'll need. You're going to need
6:04
cornstarch, baking powder, butter or
6:06
light butter, cinnamon, two eggs,
6:09
vanilla extract. I'm using alulose,
6:11
which is my favorite sugar substitute,
6:13
as well as sucrine gold. I will link
6:15
them both for you. Powder, flour, and
6:18
some salt. So, I went ahead and added 4
6:21
tablespoons of butter, 1/3 cup of
6:24
sucrine gold, 1 and 1/2 tbsp of flour,
6:27
some cinnamon, and some salt. This is
6:29
the cinnamon sugar filling. I'm going to
6:32
mix this together. Set it aside. I went
6:34
ahead and added my cookie ingredients to
6:36
a bowl. We're going to cream this all
6:39
together. The original recipe is on my
6:42
website with all of these different
6:44
measurements.
6:45
I'm going to go ahead and add my
6:47
cinnamon sugar filling directly to my
6:50
dough and then just kind of mix that in.
6:57
I'm going to go ahead and add my cookie
7:00
dough to my baking sheet lined with
7:02
parchment. I am going to kind of press
7:05
that into place. I don't know how many
7:07
cookies we'll get all together. I'm just
7:09
going to scoop them out and see what we
7:10
end up with.
