Replacing Ridge Beam Part 5 #Shorts

Well, I’m sorry guys, but we've been pushing with a lot of phone calls and people wondering what we're doing and all that kind of thing. I know should have been taken time to video, but what we've done is spliced on two foot pieces onto where the floor joists were rotted with three inch screws and brought it out to where that was good, strong, something to fasten to. Then I put a 2x6 on it, and then, OSB plywood on top of that. And now we're putting flashing which goes up underneath. And even though the vinyl siding is going to be on this it’s not going to be an issue. I just don't want to have another issue. So that's where we're at now. We're getting ready to put 2x8s and instead of every eight foot like they had, we are going to to use two sixteens and I probably will end up tomorrow, putting a support in the middle. Even still. And but I don't have to because all this wood now is solid pressure treated even. It's better than what it would have been. Factory. But, Anyway, it's a challenge. It's pretty hot over here right now. Probably 94, 95. No wind. And, so we're going to keep going then I got to go do an air conditioner to this to help somebody out. So please be patient with me.
