Replacing Ridge Beam Part 3

Okay, so after taking out a section of the deck, I'll show you. What it looks like. So at this is old Masonite siding. And then this is the 2x6 went beyond. It’s not always that way, but it's in wherever the Masonite didn't get maintained. This is what the deck was. And the deck didn't cause this. This was actually done before they built the deck. And they tried to fasten the deck to it and found out it wasn't very strong. So they put in a steel beam every 13ft eight. So all the way down. We've taken it all out. And I'm gonna pull all the Masonite off. Pull all the nails out. And then I'll look at the ridge beam. Pull the ridge beam, which is a 2x6. And then I will start working on fixing. Floor joists that are bad like that one. And we'll take you along with us.
