Musk captioned the president's old tweet with wise words. And in another post where a user showcased more of Trump's posts from 2013

ranging from him saying we need a balanced budget and deficits should not be allowed

Musk said, where is this guy today? Trump did his own online warrior posting regarding the feud, taking to Truth Social to say

Elon was wearing thin. I asked him to leave. I took away his EV mandate that forced everyone

to buy electric cars that nobody else wanted. And he just went crazy. And he wrote, I don't

mind Elon turning against me but he should have done so months ago This is one of the greatest bills ever presented to Congress During a press conference Thursday with Germany chancellor the conversation that was

meant to be focused on trade turned to questions over Trump's relationship with Musk, to which the

president said he is now unsure where their friendship stands. Elon and I had a great

me. You couldn't have nicer, said the best thing. He's worn the hat. Trump was right about everything

And I am right about the great, big, beautiful bill. At the center of this dispute that continues

to snowball as you watch this video is Trump's big, beautiful bill, which passed the House and

is now in the Senate. Trump wants it on his desk to sign, but Musk and some other fiscal

conservatives oppose it, citing concerns over a provision that will raise the debt ceiling

$5 trillion. The future of that budget plan is still up in the air, because just as Musk and

Trump are at odds over it, so is the slim Republican majority in the Senate. Also up in the air is the

contracts between Elon Musk companies and the government, initially accepted by both sides to

be mutually beneficial partnerships. But Trump posted to Truth Social a threat to terminate

Elon's governmental subsidies and contracts, to which Elon threatened to cancel government

contracts related to SpaceX, as their feud continues to spiral with uncertain consequences
