RB Ashton Jeanty is ready to be an NFL star; which teams are interested?

The NFL draft is just three days away, and star running back Ashton Gentry is preparing to head to Green Bay, Wisconsin

along with more than a dozen family and friends to be on stage when his name's called in the first round

Aside from Heisman winner Travis Hunter, who plays two positions, Gentry, who was runner-up to Hunter, may be the biggest unicorn in the draft

a running back that could be taken in the top ten picks. Since 2010, only six running backs have been drafted that high, and none since Saquon Barkley in 2018

But Gentry is a special performer. At Boise State last season, he fell just 27 yards shy of Hall of Famer Barry Sanders' single-season rushing record, going for 2,601 yards

Asked at his pro day workout what he wants NFL general managers to know, he didn't leave anything out

If you've never turned my tape on, you know, I'm a three-down back, you know, exceptional with the ball in my hands, can run any type of run scheme you want, inside, outside, you know, the pass game, good hands, good routes

And then, you know, you talk about third downs, protecting that quarterback. So, you know, I'm a full all-around running back

Do you feel some of them have you a little lower than you should be? No, I mean, you know, it all just depends on, you know, how the draft goes

You never know what's going to happen. You know, it's really just based off how those first few guys get picked off the board

Teams in the top 10 that seem to have real interest in Gentile include the New Orleans Saints at number nine

the Chicago Bears at number 10, and the Las Vegas Raiders, who pick at number six

He had visits with all three teams and several others at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis

that he's walking out of the family and he's going to find somebody else. Probably whoever takes Ashton

In all seriousness, Spitek did comment Friday on how Saquon Barkley changed the fortunes of the Philadelphia Eagles

and says he's bullish on running backs from his time playing at Michigan

Where will Gentry land during Thursday's draft? It's anyone's guess. But if he's somehow still on the board at pick number 12

his hometown Dallas Cowboys could make the draft night extra special for him and his family
