The video, now garnering millions of views, shows fan Michael Weitzel being escorted from the St

Louis Soccer Club's game last week. He says security approached him with about 25 minutes

left in the game, telling him to remove his hat or leave. Weitzel tells KFTK's Mark Cox Morning

Show the situation unfolded after another fan filed a complaint during the game

I didn't think there'd be any issue with wearing that to the game but with about you know 25 minutes left in the game

I was basically told that there they'd received a complaint about my hat so they told me I could either hide the hat or

Take it out to my car or leave or my options and said well you know There 25 minutes left in the game It a close game sir I not going to going to take my hat off for anybody I live in America which is the land

of the free and the home of the brave, I thought. And, you know, you do what you have to do, sir

The soccer club's website says the stadium prohibits political banners, flags, images

and signs unless pre-approved. Weitzel says he saw political messaging inside, but staff told him those were pre-approved. I'm being evicted from the premises because of

Donald Trump, because we can't wear Donald Trump hats in public. And so now I'm being evicted from

the premises. The first security guard told Weitzel he also supports Trump, but said he was just

enforcing stadium rules. He gets it. He's just following the rules. It's not his fault, but this

is the stadium's rule. So that's what happens if you wear a Donald Trump hat to a St. Louis City

soccer club game. Weitzel says he was shocked by the response and is not hesitant to go to another

game as he owns three years worth of season tickets. His video picked up steam after being

shared by conservative Greg Keller of the Atlas Strategy Group over the weekend. He later claimed

on X that the U.S. Justice Department's Civil Rights Division is reviewing the incident
