Congress wants the Epstein client list
0:02
Republicans, Democrats, even the Speaker of the House are all calling for transparency
0:07
Despite that, the files about one of the most notorious sex traffickers of all time remain private
0:13
and the White House wants everyone to move on. We spent the day speaking with members of Congress about the Epstein case
0:19
and it's clear they're not going to drop this. Democrats, Republicans, independents think that the department is not being transparent
0:26
and so that makes you want to pull the string more. Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna tried to force a vote on releasing the Epstein files
0:35
but it was blocked by Republicans. Democrats are now criticizing their GOP colleagues
0:40
who for months said the files should be made public. And all of a sudden it's like, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain
0:47
There is no files. There is no, there was no Jeffrey Epstein. There was no list. In fact, Pam Bondi doesn't even have a desk
0:53
Muskowitz is referring to Attorney General Pam Bondi's now infamous answer to a very simple question
0:59
The DOJ may be releasing the list of Jeffrey Epstein's clients. Will that really happen
1:05
It's sitting on my desk right now to review. That's been a directive by President Trump
1:10
Republicans on Capitol Hill are not happy she's reneging. The attorney general said she had a list on her desk and then she didn't. I just that's I think she's way out of her league
1:20
And I think when she released that, she gave all the influencers, those binders and the stuff that you could just got on the Internet
1:27
And I just thought that was, I just don't think, I don think she was ready for prime time at that point Pam Bondi I don know when she originally made the statement I think she was talking about documents as I understood that they were on her desk I don know that she was specific about a list or whatever
1:43
but she needs to come forward and explain that to everybody. According to a report in the Daily Mail, Epstein's accomplice and facilitator
1:50
Ghislaine Maxwell, is willing to speak to Congress about everything she knows
1:55
Senator Josh Hawley says she should testify under oath. This is one of the worst human trafficking rings in American history run by this scumbag
2:02
And I think the more we know about it, the more we get out there, the better it is
2:07
Other lawmakers say they don't trust her and that she's likely doing this in an attempt to get leniency
2:12
But what would be her angle? Is she is she trying to get a better plea deal or something
2:17
And that's that's the question I think needs to be answered in all that. What is what does she want from that
2:22
My question for that is why is she not just talking to the press? She can say everything she needs to say to the press at any time
2:29
And I really think it was also interesting that she made this apparently request or statement within 24 hours of a Supreme Court ruling
2:38
Maxwell is serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking minors. She's asking the Supreme Court to toss out her conviction, arguing she should be shielded by a 2007 non-prosecution agreement between Epstein and federal prosecutors in Florida
2:53
As for the Epstein case, earlier this month, the Department of Justice released a memo that said there was no client list and that there isn't going to be any more prosecutions
3:03
So it's going to be up to Congress to bring any new information to light. I'm Ray Bogan for Straight Hour News
