Liberty Star Breanna Stewart Had a Stark Wake-Up Call for Liberty Teammates After Latest Loss
The Liberty were blown out 83–63 by the Phoenix Mercury, their third loss to Phoenix this season, and Breanna Stewart didn’t hold back her frustration. After New York’s sloppy turnovers and lack of second-chance effort, Stewart blasted the team and said: “It’s not good enough. It’s not gonna cut it. Any of the things that we’ve done today, and honestly, for a while, is not going to get us to where we want to be. This is not championship-level basketball at this point, and everyone needs to recognize that and understand that we need to get there. That starts with the mindset and then putting it onto the court.” With just four games left, Stewart insists the Liberty must fix their mindset fast if they want any shot at a serious title defense.
