Your Lauri Markkanen trade ideas are dumb

Okay, so I've been with the camera angle lately. Oh god, I already I already swore in the first five seconds

So I think I don't know I don't get to monetize anyway So I've been with the camera angle and I think this is how we're gonna keep it from now on

It's a little bit of a precarious position so the camera might fall during this one

But honestly, I don't really care and the camera by the way is my phone. So it's like

I have equipment. I mean I was trying to think of a topic for today's video

Because I can't really think of any teams that are super topical to discuss right now

I'm gonna make another Pistons video once they break the record assuming they get there

You know, we're pretty close by this point. I think it's 24 games in a row now 22. It's a lot

So I was thinking about my video about the Pistons, but I'm gonna talk about Larry Markin in today and why all the

discourse about Larry Markin in trades is pissing me off off. So this discussion is annoying for a couple reasons, and the main one to me is that I think it

completely leaves out the fact that I just don't understand why Utah would trade Larry Markkinen

He's like 26 or 25. He's like entering his prime. This team is starting to rebuild now. By the time

he hits his prime, they'll have drafted a few guys. Keontae George will probably be in his fourth

year, you'll still have prime Larry Markkinen. He's on an amazing contract right now. He's an

elite offensive player. He doesn't provide much else outside of scoring and, like, general big man

shit He not a great defender He not a playmaker at all but he can score the basketball and if you look at this Utah roster you look at their other frontcourt players Like Walker Kessler doesn really do it for me on the offensive side of the ball

He's a good rim runner, and he's big, and he's tall and long, and he knows how to play

He's an elite defensive player, but, like, he doesn't fill it up, and he obviously can't shoot

and neither can John, well John Collins has improved his shooting, like obviously last year

he was like the worst three-point shooter in the NBA at volume, but this year he's like fine, I think

but like I just don't get excited when I see that front court and I get they drafted a few front

I have no idea what position Bryce Sensabaw plays, but I know that Taylor Hendricks is a four

or whatever a four is in basketball today. And that's kind of cool

But I mean, like, they're not going to be, they're going to be pretty terrible pretty quickly

if they get rid of Lowry. And to me, like, if we're looking at the returns

like, let's say hypothetically, let's make the hypothetical, like, Lowry marking in to the Oklahoma City Thunder trade

It's like, it's like Trey Mann, Davos Bretons' money, Poku and like three picks like I'm just not excited by that I think San Antonio maybe has

an interesting offer they could give up like five picks straight up no one has really talked about

that one but I actually think that could be interesting Lowry plus Wemby is kind of cool

because Lowry kind of fills up all the voids that Wemby has in his game and Wemby like supplements and it like those defensive limitations And that also means that Wemby could play the five like permanently like if Wemby was in like year three right now I think that would be like perfect but um alas um like who else is even in the running like Orlando Orlando would be

kind of cool, I think they could actually make a pretty good offer, too, um, you can get Markel

Foltz and his money, um, like, they could aggregate some picks, I say aggregate, like, I know what that

means, it's like a contract term or something, I don't know, like, I, but, like, if I'm

Utah, like, I just, unless I'm getting, like, a star level young player, and I guess you could get

Josh Giddey, which, by the way, because of the Karl Malone thing, would be so ironic, um, but, like

if you get like a josh giddy or some like they're not going to trade jalen williams but let's say

you get a jalen williams caliber player then i could see it but unless you go to like sacramento

and get keegan murray which i actually think is interesting um though i don't really love it for

sacramento um then like what is like who is that jalen williams caliber player i just i'm just not

seeing that play i just don't really know what the larry mark and hypothetical trade is maybe

i've heard dijon tay murray would be interesting but i feel like the hawks punting already i mean

it might be the best basketball move for them to just say it blow up the dijon tay thing

already and get larry mark and i think that's it but like i don't really think that like that that feels really lateral for atlanta in a weird way it seems like you like screwing with things like it just seem like it gonna like like shift the tides for them I think there are just fundamental problems with Atlanta that can be surmounted with that trade um I just thinking like

Toronto doesn't make sense um New York doesn't really make sense either Brooklyn would be kind

of interesting um i think brooklyn could make a good offer but no better than like okc or any of

those other trades unless you want like cam thomas but like they already have like some guard talent

i don't i don't i'm not really in love with the idea of building around cam thomas yeah i don't

know i think the larry mark and in trade just doesn't really make sense um for the teams that

like are in the running i think the main one is okc like i think it's pretty sick um he's like

exactly what okc needs he's got he brings like size shooting um he's just he's just a bucket um

and i think they could really use that next to like chad and shay all these guys that are like

good but not elite shooters like we talk about the thunder like they're like this amazing

three-point shooting team well do we actually do we i think i just made that up but like they're

three-point shooting is really not that great. Outside of Isaiah Joe, they have no specialists

It's not them, and again, I don't like their offer for Utah. Like, who is it? Miami? Miami

would be kind of interesting, but I don't think Miami has anything left in the kitty

unless you want to give up, like, Tyler Harrow, but I don't really like that for the Heat then

Um, yeah, stop making hypothetical Larry Markin injuries
