What is going on everybody? Jay Clark the Jumper here. Today we are getting a workout in. The workout prescribed is heavy front squats. If the heavy single is there, if a heavy max is there, I'm going to go for it. My current max is 400 pounds

and one of the significant things about my front squat max is two years ago when I was training

the goal was kind of focusing on getting that that big 400 pound front squat four days after

getting that 400 pound front squat I ended up doing the double between the legs dunk

and it was kind of one of those things where I knew having that type of strength meant I had

enough strength to get that dunk completed. So, you know, just trying to build on that and build

towards my 500-pound squat. That's what I've been training and focusing on. When I hit the 400-pound

squat, it was December 21st, and we are currently December, I think today's the 9th, if I'm not

mistaken, yeah, today's the ninth. So, um, I'm not in the same shape I was at that time. I think I was

a little bit lighter. Right now I'm kind of sitting at 191 and like I've said in some of my past

videos, it's a little heavy, but I think right now with, you know, developing strength, I'm not worried

too much about that number. I know once I kind of focus on jump specific or dunk specific weight

I'll be there and I'll be where I need to be. But yeah heavy fronts I really wanna just make sure that my depth is good my form is good and I looking to put up a big number

All right that was my last warm set Felt good It didn feel super fast but I remember when I was going for the max I don think I moved it incredibly fast

So I'm going to do some heavy singles, build up. If I continue to feel good, I will go for a max

all right i hit 401 for a front squat pr one pound pr but you know it's a small win it's

getting better every single day that's the goal that's all i can do i felt i was a little forward

on 401 and same thing with 423 kind of when i got down to the bottom just didn't have it today

which is which is fine I was kind of aiming for hoping for that today but this time of year

when I was training my last cycle I wasn't at 400 pound levels yet so I know there's more to come

I'll be dropping weight getting a little bit more in shape and the power will still be there so

just continuing to train as I train gonna hit some core gonna get on a little bit of call of
