bottom of the West are trying to avoid Denver in the first round, but because Denver could finish

intentionally lose games to avoid them. Then you've got this battle for the five seed between

Dallas, Phoenix, and New Orleans, and now apparently the Lakers, who would avoid the play-in and also

get to play the Clippers, who have been kind of shoddy in the second half of the season. And then

the Kings at nine, who, as much as I love them, have kind of fallen off with all the injuries
