you
0:00
good morning everyone welcome back to a special edition to the attack in third we want to tell
0:26
people we're going to do a show right before the big Thanksgiving feast
0:29
And, and I am extremely sad to get back on track. We took a break a little bit last week, but we are back. We're excited
0:37
I'm alongside my right hand man, Steve Fendenta. Steve, what's going on
0:41
And of course our special guest, the, the man himself, the number one NYC FC beat reporter, our man, Scott Churchins
0:52
Good morning, Scott. How are we doing gentlemen? Thank you for letting me come back on
0:55
I appreciate it. Apparently, I haven't done that bad a job with you. No, no, no, no
1:00
No, you're not fired yet. No, no, no. Listen, there's been – so, last night, the Philadelphia – let's get right into it
1:10
Actually, we just heard Ernest's – the general manager, we just heard his great, great press conference
1:17
And it's pretty much stuff that we already know that's going on with this Philadelphia Union team
1:23
about the moves that he made and going forward. And I know there's union fans are out there upset with moving on from LeBlanc
1:32
or I'm sorry, LeBlanc, Flock, Matt Riel. I mean, I get it, favorite guys
1:38
But really, to me, he got rid of the dead weight on this team
1:42
Those guys really weren't doing anything. I mean, Matt Riel has been here, what, five years or six years, rather, since 18
1:51
I mean, two years ago, it was probably, I mean, 13 appearances, five starts
1:57
Really didn't produce a heck of a whole lot. You know, they've run Juan Torres, and he only had one goal in 14 matches two years ago
2:08
He didn't sniff the field last year. Yeah, Leon LaFlock, I mean, really, he only had three assists
2:14
He's got a bunch of yellow cards underneath his name. then the only one that's really bothering me again he's not on the score sheet anywhere
2:22
but sam adrian like to me sam adrian can stretch the field for you he was the perfect substitute for
2:29
quinn solven as he came off the bench because again you're you're bringing a speedy guy who
2:35
can open and stretch up the field that gets scoring opportunities so for me i think this
2:41
is where it's going to hurt the union a little bit. But, you know, that's my take on it
2:47
I mean, to me, like I just said, they got rid of the dead weight and they're going to move forward from here
2:51
First of all, good morning to you guys as well. And, Steve, what is your take from the press conference that we know of
3:00
and your thoughts on these guys getting shipped out? um the the three that i'm okay with with the in negotiations with um craig bedoya and elliot
3:15
um as long as andre blake is going to be there and in goal i'm okay with elliot being there just
3:22
as long as there's more depth coming back um in the center back uh position and just kind of my
3:31
notes from Ernst. It sounds like he wants to wait on final decisions until a head coach is found
3:41
which is good. I'm happy on that. Now, is the head coach going to be a yes guy where then it
3:47
doesn't really matter when it comes to roster decisions? And then Bedoya's role. The three of
3:53
us, we were chatting about it before the show. It sounds like he wants Bedoya to be this grandpa
4:01
in the locker room, this babysitter in the locker room and on the bench and on the field at times
4:07
and to bring that veteran presence. And that's fine for me. It all depends on how much you're
4:13
going to be then bringing him back, how much money you're giving him to play that sort of role
4:20
And if those minutes are going to be actually taken away from potentially bringing somebody in
4:26
who is going to make an actual impact, not just, hey, guys, you know
4:31
like in these situations, this is how we do. You know, development is what he kept saying
4:36
And it sounds like that's why Flock ended up being let go
4:40
just lack of proving he is developing in his process. And I feel bad for him because he had the injury that he was dealing with
4:49
earlier in the season that he came back from. I feel like he had certain moments where he did show that grittiness
4:55
that Tanner was talking about, that he was saying that he was hearing from across the league
5:04
it's easy to come to Subaru Park now. And that's what was aggravating him the most
5:11
was I'm seeing no one in the stands anymore. Less seats are being filled. The performance on the
5:21
field is reflecting that. And now he's hearing, oh yeah, it's easy to go to Subaru park. It used to be hard to go to Subaru park
5:30
So he wants to get back to the grittiness, get back to their strengths and get back to their style
5:36
Which I guess that's good to hear, but now what, what is the plan going forward
5:43
And it sounds like it's going to be a lot of, a lot of the youth. Yeah. And same question that, you know, I'll go to Scott
5:51
What was your take so far on, like I said, from an outside perspective, look at the union again
5:57
They move on from the coach, and we're going to touch on that later
6:01
But what's your perspective now on to this whole press conference and what the union are trying to do here
6:08
Well, I mean, Tanner straight up came out and said, we're looking to get younger
6:13
You know, he didn't beat around the bush. He was very direct about it, which honestly is the way you should handle it
6:17
You know, none of the soft shoe, none of the toe depth. he's like we want to get younger which is ironic because you're already one of the youngest teams
6:23
in the league to begin with you know um i mean i think the average age is like 24 ish give or take
6:28
you know probably what top i think top five youngest i think it was but you know they're
6:33
clearly looking to go with the sullivan brothers as the new leaders of the squad going forward in
6:37
the next few years i think um you see someone like bedoya who is 37 years old and like you said
6:43
you try to like flush them a little bit more into like the leadership role because you have a roster
6:48
right now, you know, that you only have one, two, right now, one, two, three, five guys who are over
6:54
the age of 30, you know, Blake's 34. And then basically you have, I would say, well, all right
7:01
Martinez is the longer on the roster, but you know, Glesnes, you know, you only have a couple of guys there at the 30 or 31, and then you have all of these kids, and I'm going to say literally
7:08
kids here. So you, do you keep Bedoya around to be that mentor or do you make Blake say the new guy
7:16
You know, because Blake has been there for a long time right now. He's 34. You know, he is somebody who can easily step into that leadership role, you know, and be the Bedoya if they don't want to pay him
7:28
Well, and you bring us on a good point, too, because during the press conference, Ernest said that Bedoya does have a second job
7:36
So, I mean, he's part of the front office moves. So whether he steps down, he's still going to be part of the organization
7:42
He might not be on the field, but, I mean, he's, you know, again, he's going to be like a Philadelphia fly around here
7:48
He's going to be like one of those Broad Street bullies. Like, he's pretty much got a tombstone sitting around up in that, you know
7:55
by a Subaru park somewhere. You know, he's never going to leave. He's got a suite somewhere
8:00
Again, he's the face of the franchise. Like you said, does he step down and let Blake
8:05
Because, to me, the right one was on the wall. This was Blake's team because the way the defense, you know
8:10
only responded when he was on the field compared to when Rick or Simla was on the field
8:16
So, but yeah, it's a great question. And to see, like you said, this team just wants to get younger
8:22
And it's going to be interesting to see how they move on
8:28
And to me, Ernestis did, again, came out. And the day after, actually the morning after, he comes out and answers the hard questions right on the chin
8:37
So I know a lot of people are totally against him for moving on from Jim
8:42
current, but it's a wait and see game and see whether, again
8:46
it's not, he didn't rush. Nope. Nobody in here yet. He's still going around the world, finding the right guy
8:53
Uh we know St Louis just picked up uh Millsburg you know Obviously Messier just got his boy in here
9:05
New York's in – we're going to get into that a little bit later. New York has a wide-open spot, and so does Vancouver
9:11
It actually has my eyebrow raising for a future question that might come to fruition, but we'll see what happens
9:17
But anyway, let's get into some of these comments here before we go any further
9:22
J.D. Walker chimed in and says, Good morning, folks. Thanks, LeBlanc, for your contributions
9:30
But good luck. You're at your next stop. Kid deserves a home, and you're up somewhere
9:37
So what's your take with that, Steve? I was a little upset about this one
9:44
As a fan, he's been one of my favorite players. his grittiness
9:53
You know, Ernst talked about grittiness and how the team kind of lacked that this season
9:58
And I felt like when he was in, yeah, there were some moments where in the attacking third
10:05
where he was really bad and it stood out. And I think he was also a Jim Curtin guy
10:14
He was labeled as that. And so I think with those two things, you couldn't climb, you couldn't get over those
10:24
And so I think that's what kind of ultimately, I mean, he said it, it was the lack of development
10:29
He was, I will say that I was pretty happy with how up forward and straight honest Tanner was with the questions
10:37
Here goes one from JT as well. It goes, Sam, as a striker, has the one job, has one job to score goals
10:45
He didn't do that. Again, good luck and wish you luck to wish you the best
10:49
So, yeah. And so to me, it's again, I get it. He didn't score goals. He didn't come here to do his job
11:00
But if you look at the hindsight and what he was able to do to stretch the field
11:05
it caused defenses problems like, you know, when you get solvent on that field now
11:10
what's going to be the feeling? And like Scott just said, it's going to be a bunch of young puppies
11:15
Great, but I know that Sam here is a proven commodity that he can stretch the field with his legs
11:21
Again, no goal, no assist. I get it. But for him to stretch out the field and cause problems with his speediness
11:29
you need that. You need to burn out your opposition on defense
11:34
You need to do that. And him and Sullivan were the one-two punch for that job, for that role
11:39
And then he asked JD also asked how was The presser this morning
11:45
Like I said JD It was your name Blah blah blah blah
11:50
It's the stuff that we already know Tanner answered on his chin
11:55
Again just by reading The Facebook feed I've seen a lot a lot of upset
12:01
You know union fans and stuff Still angry with this guy And he's going to get that until
12:06
so they can do something huge, you know, going down the stretch here
12:13
But, all right, Scott, so, again, I'm happy with the move. I think this was a great, great move by the Philadelphia Union
12:20
to move on from, again, dead weight. These guys that he moved on for were not producing at all
12:27
and like Steve just said, you got rid of a guy who, listen
12:30
I'm going to get rid of Jim Curran, and I might as well get rid of his luggage as I can. So they told us not just him out there
12:36
They threw his clothes. They threw out Jim Kern, his clothes, his shoes, everything
12:44
They put everything on the lawn for Jim Kern. They threw him out, the TV, his washer, his clothes
12:53
I mean, you name it. Everything but the kitchen sink, literally, are out there now
12:58
Hand sanitizer, take it off. Fair brand underwear. I mean, they're all gone
13:03
I mean, Jim is completely out. So, all right, well, listen, there is something I want to get into too
13:12
because, Scott, first of all, I got to ask you, being in that press room
13:18
what happened last week? I mean, hometown does not show up, get run out by the Red Bulls
13:26
What happened? And what was your thoughts on that? I mean, you pretty much went off
13:30
I mean, you made the high blood pressure line, mind you. You know, it's funny because – thank you for that one
13:36
I will say this right off the bat. You know, the mix zone, which, you know, that new system that they have
13:41
which is technically not really what the league is supposed to do, but they do anyway, you know, had a very weird feel to it
13:47
You know, so all the players I think knew this was going to happen before the rest of us did because I've been to end-of-season pressers before
13:53
and there's a degree of depression when your team is knocked out. But there was a brand-new level
13:58
You know, me, Rich Mancuso, Ernesto, a lot of us were talking about the fact that it just felt off
14:02
And I think the I think the players knew that Cushing was gone, you know, because it was an internal thing
14:08
There was some talk about like Arsenal women and whatnot. But that game, to me, it was a successful season
14:14
You know, I think they, you know, from my mind, reaching the playoffs, you know, sixth place, taking down FC Cincinnati, you know, and then moving on to the next round was something to be excited about
14:25
But, yeah, you got ousted on your home turf by your derby rivals, you know, and it was a very boring game
14:31
some of us and i hate to say including myself we're starting to actually get a little drowsy
14:36
so i'm sitting there in the press box trying to stay awake it was that dull you know two goals in
14:41
24 minutes and the rest of it was just like the equivalent of like neutral zone trap the entire
14:46
time you know and by the by the end by like nine by like uh like seven o'clock or so all of us are
14:52
sitting there just getting bleary eyed but cushing it was funny because i had the first question
14:57
leading off the press conference about how do you take this momentum into the next season
15:01
And he gave a very generic answer. And it was interesting because even then, I think he knew he was done
15:07
You know, he's been denying the rumors for some time about Arsenal. The fans have never really embraced him because the predecessor, Ronnie Dialo, when they won
15:16
the MLS Cup, stripped down to his underwear, was doing pushups in rainy Portland
15:21
You know, yeah, it's one of the greatest videos of just any soccer because he did it a bunch
15:26
of years ago in Europe and he promised if you ever want a cup, we do it again. So Cushing is
15:31
not that personality, you know, and in fiery places like New York city or Philadelphia
15:35
you know, having a very quiet Zen guy can sometimes rub the fans the wrong way. Curtin
15:41
I think worked, you know, a little bit there because he had this certain suave, a certain
15:45
you know, demeanor Cushing never did, you know, and as a result, the fans since day one were like
15:50
Cushing out, go, you know, Reddit was all over the moon. People were sending me videos about
15:55
he's gone oh my god i'm so happy right now videos from their car and crap you know i'm
16:01
disappointed i'm not surprised i'm disappointed you know i think if he got another year i think
16:06
he would have had some success you know um he's a good guy he's a good family guy you know and
16:12
i think it's probably the best move in general you know if the people don't watch it don't be there Yeah Which
16:22
Well this kind of leads me into my next Question and yeah
16:26
And look I so you're pretty much Telling me that because they already
16:30
Knew this move is probably going to happen That the team was just not there
16:34
Physically on the field and mentally Not just on vacation as it is
16:38
They're ready to go golf and then think about next Year so I got to ask the next
16:42
Question I'm going to go to Steve on this So I really ponder my mind
16:46
And I talked to you prior to the show I want to just play devil's advocate with you
16:51
If you are Jim Curtin, and you get two contract offers, you tell the franchise what kind of zeros you want to add to it
17:01
You get two offers that come to your web. You get one from Vancouver, and you get one from New York
17:09
Do you go to New York, or do you go to Vancouver? Do you stay away from Philly
17:15
You might not see them as much. You just stay up in that Northwest
17:19
You're going to face Seattle, the LA teams, et cetera, try and push that team further
17:24
They're all going to come in swing. Or do you go to New York if they offered you a deal and just mentally just
17:32
drive a sword through the organization? Where do you go? And I just want to play
17:37
So, I mean, I want to see what your thoughts are. If we're just, you know, playing, I'm going to NYCFC
17:46
Every time I think because exactly what Scott said earlier a couple of minutes ago about how his sort of coaching style worked because of his charisma and his character It worked here I feel like him coming back here
18:08
you would have a lot of the fan base kind of like, you know what? I don't blame you for the way
18:14
you were treated on your exit. I don't blame you for doing that. Now that it would only be that
18:20
first game that Philadelphia would give him that like, you know, round of applause, let's clap it, but let him beat
18:30
let him beat the union at NYC with NYC FC. Every game after that would be screw that guy
18:36
Never liked him, everything like that. But yeah, no, if, if I really
18:41
if I had both of those contracts laid out and everything I wanted, give me
18:46
give me NYC FC. Yeah, and I'm about to ask Steve, Scott, the same questions
18:53
But we've got some comments coming in. Yeah, Steve, you want to click them up
18:59
So we've got, he says, NYCFC fans better be careful on the coaching change
19:04
Scott, I've got to ask you, why is he putting this up here? Because the fans never embraced him
19:10
I mean, there were literal Twitter profiles that were just Cushing out. You know, and it was just basically Cushing's name and the red line through it
19:17
You know, I mean, there was pictures of him just, you know, photoshopped images of Cushing looking stupid
19:24
You know, again, he never had that personality, that vibes with New York
19:28
And as a result, like I said, it just never gelled. I think that's part of the problem
19:34
I mean, he's led the team to the playoffs two out of the last three years. You know, Eastern Conference Finals, the loss to Philly a couple years back
19:42
and then made the playoffs this past year and then missed the other one
19:46
because they had a massive turnover in the roster and it took time for the new guys that were brought in the middle of the season to gel
19:53
But in the end, the result in the New York City area where everybody is just pissed
20:00
I mean, listen, Philly, I'll be honest with you, Philly is like Queens
20:04
where it has its mellow aspect. New York City, with all the teams and the legacy involved
20:11
The Yankees, the Giants, you know, the Knicks, the Rangers, all these teams that perennially fail year after year after year
20:19
There is just this increased anger and hostility here where it's like, you know, basically after one game
20:27
if Pep Guardiola came over and didn't win game one, they'd be like, Pep out
20:32
Yeah, right. You know, they don't care, you know, and that's where that impatient, very, very tick tock mentality is
20:39
where it's like success or the door. i think it's a little bit of a tiktok mentality right so and see this is this is and i'm going
20:49
to answer this one and scott you're going to like this since you're a movie guy and i'm going to ask
20:54
the same question as i did to steve i'm going to ask this to myself if i'm jim curtain i'm 100
21:01
going to nycfc if they offered me the deal just playing devil's advocate they offered me a deal
21:07
I'm going to New York. And you want to know why? Because the general manager
21:12
of the Philadelphia Union handed me a bunch of bad tools and expected me
21:15
to fix his house. Knowing it was going to collapse before the fall came in here
21:22
So, you're throwing me out the door and expecting me to fix your house
21:27
with bused-out tools. And you just threw me in the house. Now you're throwing my furniture out the door
21:36
You're throwing all my clothes on the lawn. So what I'm going to do, I'm going to go the Terry Silver route from Cobra Kai
21:43
I'm going to – listen, this is where it all makes sense
21:47
I'm going to go there. I'm going to – every time we come to Philadelphia, I'm going to take it at Pat's or Gina's
21:51
whatever cheesesteak you want, Del Sandro's. And then we're going to go to my shore house and chill there and have the time of our lives
21:58
because that Saturday that we have to go and report to Subaru Park
22:03
I'm going to beat the brakes of the Philadelphia Union. and I'm going to drive mentally a sword right through the chest of that front office
22:11
And the fans, the Philadelphia fans, will then turn their backs on the Union
22:16
and give them nothing but the boot burns, and ultimately I win
22:19
And every chance I get, every time you see the NYCFC on that schedule
22:26
you better have it as a chalked L. Sorry for my Cobra Kai rant
22:31
But, yeah, I fan of the show. JD feels the same way. Spoiler on that one, though. Yes, yes
22:35
JD feels the same way. take a year off and chill with his kids and, and, and, and sip some mojitas at the shore house next
22:42
summer. And then JD's with, with, with you and I, he says it here, if Jim wanted to be petty enough
22:47
go to NYCFC and he wouldn't blame him. So, you know, it's funny. I don't see it happen
22:52
I don't, I would see Vancouver first or someplace else like Toronto, you know, I mean, would I mind
22:57
No, you know, Jim Curtin is a very smart, you know, soccer guy. He's also a very good clubhouse
23:04
guy. You know, I mean, I was always, I think I told you guys this. One of the things I always
23:08
like personally about Jim Curtin is before every press conference, he would always thank whoever
23:12
the PR person was, whether it was Nico, he would always start off with thanks, Erica, thanks, Nico
23:17
and then go into every single time. And I always respected that, but that's the Jim Curtin that
23:22
we, you guys, and we, you know, you know, that's the kind of Jim Curtin personality
23:26
I mean, would that be a knife in, would that be kind of a reverse Saquon Barkley? Yeah
23:32
a little bit. You know, I mean, dude, I'm a Giants fan
23:36
I got to, I got, I got to get what I can get. Yes, yes, yes. You know
23:40
we can go into a whole litany on that, but we're not going to. Yes. But we got a good
23:44
we got a good question coming in here about a different team who we haven't mentioned yet
23:50
Chris C, what about Atlanta United? Didn't Jim have offers from there
23:54
What do you guys think about, about how they performed in the playoffs and Jim fitting there
24:00
Well, Well, I think like when we had Tenable on, I think Valentino
24:05
the interim head coach is already going to have that job for the turnaround
24:09
that he did with that team. So I don't – but listen, it's not out of the realm of possibilities
24:15
I thought they were looking outside. What's that? I thought they were – no, I think they're moving on from him
24:21
Okay, so listen, that team is defense heavy. So, again, that is a great landing spot
24:28
Like all these other teams other than the union are on the upswing. So you can make some moves
24:35
I mean, he could really, to me, turn around an NYCFC, Atlanta, a Vancouver
24:42
I think he can be that guy that gets him over the hump. I mean, they are on an upswing
24:47
Yes. Yes. I will give this one to Scott. Jim Curran will be the 80-2.0 and win somewhere else down the road
24:57
But the problem is, are we all going to hate him then? You know, I mean, everyone hates the Chiefs now
25:05
Depends on how many he goes and wins. And listen, he's got a dynasty quarterback
25:12
It all makes sense for him. But listen, maybe Jim Curtin needs or someone from NYCFC
25:18
or somebody around the league needs Jim Curtin in their life, you know, to get him from the home and make him to a dynasty player
25:24
uh so Chris you know he goes the thoughts to uh what about Jim okay about hotlanta yeah
25:32
so I mean the curtain went down there I think he would be inheriting a good squad Guzan's already
25:38
coming back um at 40 years old by the way but he's you know 40 is a little different when you're a
25:43
goalkeeper versus like say a defender or midfielder you know um so yeah I think they've got a good
25:49
roster there they had a good run you know and there's a lot of enthusiasm for next season
25:53
considering basically how they barely made the playoffs in the first place. Yeah, I agree
26:01
They barely made the playoffs. So let me ask you, and by the way, like, first of all
26:06
before I go any further, I want to say, Scott, you're absolutely right, though. Again, I cannot nod Jim Curtin enough
26:12
I mean, he was a – before every presser, he'd shake everyone's hand, say hi
26:16
you know, hello. He was definitely a human being, not someone who's got this ego problem
26:22
whatever and i also that personally thanks jim curtain for listening to me of any one of that
26:28
press conference uh again uh the the ongoing joke was i remember todd lewis actually came up to me
26:33
and told me he's like dude you gotta be in jim curtain's ear after every interview and i'm pretty
26:39
sure you guys don't know where i'm going with this the the whole andrew rick suggestion and when he
26:44
told me that was when he told me that was that's a bold move but like two days later my man's up in
26:49
in the lineup and I'm like, so like it's funny because Ty Newell Todd Lewis are all looking at me like where your crystal ball at my friend I was like dude I had no idea it was going to roll with it I just here That the beautiful part about Calgary Union 2 games You get to see these young kids play and you get to see what they can bring to the table
27:03
and that was kind of my thing. So, yeah. But anyway, before we get on to our last segment, though
27:10
we have the final four to the MLS Cup. Who is going to take this thing
27:17
I'm sorry. Let's get this last question from J.D., our last comment
27:21
Atlanta did ask for permission to interview Jim early this year, but I believe so
27:27
Oh, I believe so. If they want to come back around and give him an extension, will he get it
27:37
Oh, he's talking about the internal coach. I'm sorry, I read that. I'm coming back around to extend the internal head coach
27:42
I think he'll get it. So, yeah, it's going to be the internal head coach or Jimmy
27:48
But if they go outside around and go Jimmy, either way, Atlanta
27:54
they really don't have the wrong answer. You have a guy who pretty much turns around in your franchise in the midseason
27:59
where you can go outside and think you can get this guy who caramels over the hump
28:06
PT told us that he probably wouldn't want to go out west coast or Europe
28:12
until they're older. So there's all those things you don't really think about until you're in the situation
28:18
Yeah. So again, I want to ask you, there are four teams left for the MLS Cup
28:25
Four teams. I don't think anybody had maybe L.A. Galtzy written that we're going to make it this far
28:32
So here we are. We have Orlando taking on the Red Bulls
28:38
And we have, according to Angry Anthony, if he's listened to the program, you got MyC L. Sanders taking on L.A. Galtzy
28:47
So, Scott, I got to go to you first. Where are you going in the east and where are you going to go in the west
28:52
You know, it's funny. Statistically speaking, we'll start with the east. Orlando historically against the Red Bulls is 4-4-1 at home
29:00
So they don't really have good home numbers. But then again, they didn't have good home numbers against Atlanta either
29:07
going 2-6-2, I believe. So I think personally Atlanta – I'm sorry, Orlando will take this one
29:15
You know, I think the home crowd is going to be part of this. I think the enthusiasm of basically getting to this point is going to be a big part of it
29:23
They know that they have the chance to get to, you know, an MLS Cup final, I think, for the first time in history
29:28
So there's a lot riding on this right now. And the home field advantage hasn't really favored anybody so far except Orlando
29:37
You know, I mean, every single team. It's been, you know, Orlando's the fourth seed, and then you had everybody beyond that
29:43
So in this case here, I think they're the only team in the East that's actually had home field success this time
29:48
And I think that's going to carry for one more game. Now, my question in this case here is how will Emile Forsberg, you know, how is his performance going to be
29:58
Lewis Morgan, you know, the guys on the Red Bull team, because if I remember correctly off the top of my head
30:03
I think 10 of the teams, the Red Bulls, 13 wins, but did the math right, have come with Forsberg being on the pitch
30:10
Whether he made an assist, whether he made a goal didn't matter. His very presence was a big factor in their wins
30:17
So, you know, assuming that he's going to be on the pitch here, you have to keep an eye out for someone like him in this case
30:22
But Torres for Orlando, I think this is going to be like a 2-1 final
30:27
I feel like Orlando will be moving on. You know, I think it's going to be a good one
30:34
um i personally i think when you have since you wanted my response on both of them i think l the
30:41
galaxy take it out west my heart is with seattle it really is i'm sorry there's just something
30:46
special about seattle sports um i've got a good passion heart you know heart yeah yeah
30:50
that is a fantastic like you know fantastic sports now you know it's just a it's just
30:57
criminal that they don't have an nba team yet still after almost 20 years all right
31:01
That color green they got It's all those teams and that green
31:04
I love the green there, I love the green and the Kraken That neon sort of awkward
31:09
My heart is with Seattle, but I think Out West, I think it's going to end up being
31:17
The Galaxy, especially being at home Because LA is just It's LA
31:21
Alright, alright, I like it Steve, where are you going? First off
31:31
This is what makes me so mad about the Union not making the playoffs
31:36
because look at how they played out. And what Scott said, the Union were great on the road all season
31:44
and they would have had to go and play on the road and look at the teams that were remaining
31:49
And it's like, are you kidding me? They could have been that team that just had a watch party in Subaru Park
31:55
all playoffs, and just felt it from there. So frustrating. I think I'm with Scott with Orlando
32:05
I think what they got going on there is special. And the Orlando Pride just won their first NWSL title
32:16
So who knows? Maybe you could see it in both leagues. So that's what I'm going for
32:21
I'm going with the feel-good story. So I think Orlando wins 2-1
32:25
And then in the West, I think I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Pat
32:31
But I think the Galaxy, it's just too much. Six to two, they won against Vancouver
32:41
It's just offensively, they're too much. So I'm going to say they win like three to one against Seattle
32:49
Yeah. And for me, I'll start, Wes. It's been a cool story, bro, for the Seattle Sanders
32:55
but to me, LA Galaxy and that kid's league is just playing out of his mind
33:01
I think it's going to be a world series rematch, to be honest with you
33:06
I think it's going to be New York and LA. I think New York has nothing
33:11
There's no pressure. There's no, they're the most dangerous animal because they have nothing to lose
33:18
Who thought they, Orlando has a little bit more of a pressure and believe it or not
33:23
to go a little further on the Orlando, I don't know if you guys have been to the Orlando airport recently
33:28
I was down there two years ago. They have their own sports bar. The Orlando SC team has their own little sports bar in the airport
33:37
So, I mean, they take their pride down there really hard. But anyway, to answer my own question, yes, to me, the Red Bulls have nothing to lose
33:46
which makes them the most dangerous animal. They have nothing to lose. They are riding high right now
33:52
Imola Fursberg is making a huge, huge difference for that team because now that team is healthy, and Orlando, better look out
34:01
Listen, Orlando's been an up-and-down team. I hope they don't get cold because the worst thing for Orlando, right
34:07
you're taking now, you're going to be at home, which even makes it that much harder for you to defend
34:12
because you're bringing a warm climate sport, and these guys from New York, I think, are going to come down there
34:18
and I think they're going to give this Orlando team some problems. So yes, that's going to be my take
34:24
LA, New York We got from everyone else You guys said Orlando and LA
34:31
And that's where we're going to go I'm sorry, JD says LA and Orlando
34:35
So that's pretty much what you guys are saying LA and Orlando I got the LA and New York
34:40
