And this is not a diss to any big that gets it, because every big that has gotten it is deserving

Defense is very, like, different. Alright, so shout out to J-Dub for coming in hot with the takes

Basically, in that clip, he argues that big men always win defensive player of the year

and that's not fair, because perimeter defense is a totally different skill than shot blocking

And therefore, the little guys should be rewarded with their own depoy every single year

Except here's the problem. in today's NBA an elite shot blocker is just always going to be more valuable

than an elite perimeter defender so by definition of most valuable defender

I'd kind of just say suck it up dude it's sort of like the Michelin star

writing for restaurants does your local deli that makes a great $10 sandwich

deserve a Michelin star no because the Omikase Sushi place in downtown Manhattan for $300

is just objectively better
