Don't buy the lies about the Titans trading Will Levis

I know that's what we've been talking about for the greater part of this offseason

but a little different today because today I want to talk about Titans quarterback Will Levis

and the rumors that are going around about the Titans potentially trading Will Levis

And I have made the declaration, don't buy the lies about the Titans trading Will Levis

I'll explain what I mean, and I'll tell you what the most likely outcome for Titans and Will Levis is in 2025 as they look to figure out their quarterback situation in the NFL draft

Okay. Let's talk Titans. Let talk Will Levis because this report came out from Josina Anderson late on Tuesday night saying offseason carousel continues to churn Was told two quarterbacks and their names have come up in recent preliminary trade inquiries

Kirk cousins and will Levis for Atlanta with Kirk cousins. It was Atlanta has been getting calls

Talk of a third round pick actionable for a cousin's deal. And for the Titans

it is simply the Titans would like to transition question of what would the market be though

Now, welcome to what we've all known for the last few months

that the Titans trading Will Levis is very much a real possibility

This could happen when you have the number one overall pick. You have to ask the question, what you do with the guy who used to be your quarterback

However, I do want to clarify that I don't think a Will Levis trade is as imminent

as a report like this would make it seem. you are starting to see the name will levis circle and circulate talks about a move being made soon

and i don't believe that makes any sense whatsoever for the tennessee titans it does

them no good to trade will levis now because will levis's value has never been lower he just had a

year where you basically said, we don't want him because you benched him. You benched him

towards the end of the season for Mason Rudolph. You threw him in in the last game of the year

Sure. It was an up and down year. Levis had some, he had a stretch of five games where he looked

really promising but his stock plummeted down towards the bottom before the end of the season So right now before the draft I don know what leverage the Titans have

Okay, I don't suspect Will Levis to be traded at all in the days leading up to the NFL draft

I think there is a small possibility, but very unlikely that he is traded during the NFL draft

The most likely scenario for Will Levis and the Titans in 2025 is that he ends up on the team in training camp. He is going to be in

training camp with the Titans. I'll make that prediction right now. So he ends up with the

Titans in training camp. He works out, he competes against Brandon Allen for the Titans backup

quarterback job. I think the Brandon Allen signing is a signing that is sort of a setting the bar

for Will Levis. Will, you have to be here or you're out. You're a career backup. You might

not even be a backup. We don't know what you're going to do, but you got to be here if you want us to keep you on the roster. Levis has maintained that his focus is on his Titans career, not going

elsewhere. And the Titans have maintained they want Will to get better and compete in camp this

off season. If Will comes out and he has a great camp and he's turning heads, you're still going to

play whoever you drafted first overall. Absolutely. Nothing is going to change the fact that

Cam Ward, if he's a Tennessee Titan at number one, he is going to be your week one starter

barring injury. But if Will Levis starts to earn that QB two spot and raise a few eyebrows

that is when his trade value would be highest Similar to the Malik Willis deal the Titans just pulled off I think there is a very real possibility that right as the NFL cut day is looming and they have to decide if

they're keeping two or three quarterbacks on the roster, that is when a team could pony up some

real draft capital. And by real draft capital, I mean a fifth round pick or so for Will Levis

That is the most likely scenario. The idea that the Titans would trade him now simply because

we're getting reports saying they want to trade him now. Well, we've known that trading him was

a possibility. It doesn't make logistical sense for them to do so at this juncture. I think there

is about as good of a chance of Will Levis being traded as there is of him actually being the

backup quarterback in Tennessee. So he's going to be on the team for training camp, get through

training camp, and then I think it's a coin flip. Do the Titans move him for the draft pick or do

they keep him as the backup. There is some value to a backup who can create instant offense with

explosive plays. How will Levis can, you can comment a lot about his ability to do it consistently

and be a starting caliber quarterback. But I do think there are some virtues to him in a backup
