Does the NBA have a Wemby Conspiracy?

Do you agree Wemby's gonna get it

I feel like the narrative is being pushed for Wemby to get it. I don't know how anything works anymore

First of all, I don't know how anything works anymore is what I say when I can't get anybody to like me back on Hinge

But no, on a real note, that was Anthony Davis today talking about the defensive player of the year race

And basically he was like, yeah, I think I deserve it. And you know what? I see where he's coming from

Because he's kind of dominated Wemby head to head his entire career

I mean, even just this season alone, he's dropped a 40-12 game, and then two weeks ago, he had 30-13 against the Spurs

So, if I'm AD, I'm kind of like, yeah, I don't really get the hype with this guy

I also totally agree that media narratives often do dictate who wins these major awards

But there's no conspiracy here. Anthony Davis is just not as good defensively as Wemby, and that's why Wemby is the favorite to win it

Don't overthink it
