According to the Book of Joshua, the walls of Jericho fell after Joshua's army marched around the city for seven days, blowing their trumpets as commanded by God. This event allowed the Israelites to conquer the city as they entered the Promised Land (Joshua 6:1-27). Ai (Book of Joshua): After Jericho, the Israelites faced the city of Ai. Initially defeated due to Achan's sin, the Israelites later returned to Ai and captured it through a strategic ambush, as detailed in Joshua 8. This victory was crucial for the Israelites' further incursions into Canaan. Gibeon (Book of Joshua): The Battle of Gibeon is notable for the miraculous event where Joshua prayed for the sun to stand still, and it did, giving the Israelites enough time to secure a complete victory over the Amorite kings.
