What is Yule? How to celebrate Yule?
Also known as "Midwinter" the Yule Sabbat Yule shows, in the Wheel of the Year, the Winter Solstice, the day when the daylight period is the shortest and the night period is the longest of the year. In this period the Goddess gives birth to a renewed Sun God.
Northern Hemisphere: December 21st
Southern Hemisphere: June 21st
In the Wheel of the Year, the Yule Sabbat is considered the return of the light. Since everything became dark when the Sun God died in Samhain, the rebirth of the Sun God in Yule is the sign that soon the harsh winter will be gone and a new era of happiness is getting closer again: the spring!
