And I'm Mikayla Pascal. And this is Who's on Top, the show where we rank our top five

favorite things about an exciting topic, and then you tell us who made the best list or who's on top

OK, so today, Mikayla, we are going to be ranking movie villains. And there's already a list over at Ranker.com

where lots and lots of people have already voted on who their favorite villain is. So you can go on Mosey on over on that website

and vote for yourself. And throughout the episode, we are also going to be checking in on where our rankings are compared to the rankings of the general public

Anyway, let's just get right into the rankings. Michaela, what is your number five favorite movie villain of all time

Okay, so my number five favorite movie villain is actually way down on the list at number 208

208. It is the fairy godmother from Shrek. Okay, that's a good one, though

She is so good because she just like portrays a scary mother-in-law almost

who just, or an overbearing mother who just wants the best for her son. And she just has some of the great lines in Shrek, you know

A great musical number. A fantastic musical number. We'd love to hate her

One of the best musical numbers, I think, in any movie. And it's, I mean, she sings, uh, I need a hero

I need a hero. Would you call the fairy godmother in Shrek 2 evil

Evil overall. Her intentions that were good for herself and her son. Was charming

I think she just wanted the best for her kid. I think so too. I just think that she stepped on too many people to get there

Okay so my number five was the number 68th on the Ranker.com list

It's Lucius Malfoy. It's funny that Lucius Malfoy is my number five because I think most people will probably

rank him as like their number five the very most in the Harry Potter villain universe

Lucius Malfoy might be the funniest villain on this like entire Ranker.com list

That's a tough thing because the fairy godmother was very funny too. Fantastic yes

One of my favorite elements of, I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, I've read all the books many times, one of my favorite parts of it is that there's kind of this sense of class in it

It's this wizarding world in the middle of the UK. There's old money wizards, and the Malfoys are old money

And you know that because his hair, he's like an adult. Oh, he's just slicked back hair

He's an adult man with slicked back blonde ponytail. But what's really bad about him is that he's just really rude and arrogant

Who is this guy? I'll tell you who is. He's my number five villain. Mikaela, who's your number four

My number four is number 93 on the list which is Gaston Gaston You know As you see I got biceps to spare Almost likeable where it like you love to hate him

He has a posse, a song about him. Yeah! In real world terms, he is the boy's boy, you know

All the men love him, they look up to him, he's the alpha

He's one of those characters too, where it's like, I don't know if I call it evil intentions

I think everyone kind of just gave him a really big ego boost, and he wants the one girl that doesn't want him back

There's all these ladies who want him, and he's like, no, no. He doesn't know that this beast

is romantically involved with Belle. He thinks that Belle's been kidnapped, which she was, by a monster, which he is

He is saving the princess who's in the tower from the dragon

Can you imagine being in his shoes? You're like, wait, I'm the bad guy? Yeah, but it's

You're the dragon? I think it's all about the intentions. Was he going with the intentions to save her, to love her

Or was he going with the intentions to be like, I'm top dog. Yeah, he's a villain, but I like the fact

that the animators were like big muscles. Oh, yeah. And he has also the best song

One of the opening numbers. Yes. It's- No one drinks that goes down

The whole song about how he's number one in everything. So far, my whole list has been sold by musical numbers

Mikaela, my number four is the number 188th on the record.com list

It's Shooter McGavin from Happy Gilmore. He is genuinely evil in a silly golf movie

He might be the best sports villain. I just love the idea that it's like

yeah, Happy Gilmore's a sports movie. It is! It's a golf movie! It's very much a golf movie

I know. I know. It's a sports movie, but... Can you name any other golf movies

Hole in One. I don't think that's a movie. I think you made it up. I almost was like, I've never heard of Hole in One

I don't believe you. I was going to try to tell you a lie. You just got to go with Kevin Costner

Tin Cup. Hole in One is a real movie. it as a comedy movie about golf

Okay, so my number three is actually rankers number eight. So we're finally getting back up there

Yeah, okay. Loki, he brings such great, like, comedic relief to everyone

I have been falling for 30 minutes! Loki's another one where it's like, sometimes he's got good intentions

Sometimes he does the right thing. He is a villain inherently. Yeah. Does a lot of bad stuff

Very snarky, cocky remarks, and they're hilarious. I never met this man in my life He my brother Adopt it But sometimes he does the right thing And I just think he very charming The Loki character with Thor like it one of those characters where until Loki dies

you're like, why are you trusting him? All he does is he's mischievous

He's the Norse god of mischief. Yeah. And I think he has one of the coolest costumes. I'm also moving up the list

My number three is the number 14. I was actually shocked it was number 14 on Riker.com's list

Darth Maul. I'm not a huge Star Wars guy, but when I was a child, the

A small boy. When I was a wee- A wee boy, a wee lad. I was just a wee pop myself

The prequel Star Wars came out, and the first one was the Phantom Menace

This whole time, you were like, okay, lightsabers are just like swords. When he does the double lightsaber thing, that changed, like, my life

Does he do like this? That's like General Grievous. Like a baton? No, it's like, okay

Like a robot? I'm gonna use our dog's bone. This is a lightsaber. Most people are like, it just goes like

and it comes out. And they've got his regular little shaft. So it's like a double sided

He fights Liam Neeson, Qui-Gon Jinn, and Obi-Wan Kenobi played by Ewan McGregor

He fights them both at the same time, but dude, it's like the . This thing, the amount of injuries I got as a child

pretending to be Darth Maul, it's really hard to actually fight like that. So for my number two

we're actually moving back down the list to 139. Regina George. Regina George, I almost put Regina George

Because here's the thing. She's real. It's like a real life villain. She is kind of inherently evil, but it's out of insecurity

And that's like real life villain. It was kind of like a really big portrayal of like the two faced girl in high school

You know, she's going to tell you what you want to hear. She's going to talk about you behind your back

And that's the scariest thing as a high school girl. Someone talking about you behind your back. She is so real

Everybody went to school with Regina George, the most popular girl in school who like kept her kingdom in line by just digging at people

She plots against other people. She gets other people in trouble. Everyone is victimized by Regina George

It's great. I'm a big fan. OK, so my number two is the number 69 on the Ranker.com list

It is the Wicked Witch of the West. That's a classic. She scared the out of me as a child

She's got the green skin, and she's got the crazy nose. She's got like a whole crew of monkeys, flying monkeys

She just scared the bejesus out of me. And I just remember thinking, how on earth

is Dorothy going to get out of this? Dorothy just kept on adding more people to her caravan

You could be like, well, she's adding to her group. they can beat her in numbers, but it also like every one of them has an issue Because like the cowardly lion he was legitimately cowardly And the scarecrow wasn the brightest bulb in the box The Tin Man was just like I don have a heart But he was clearly alive So I don know why he went along for the trip in retrospect

So my number one is number 73 on ranker.com's list. Godzilla. I put him in number one, I was

This actually shocks me. Go on. I'm a big, big Godzilla gal. I was in first grade and told everyone, well, I'm married to Godzilla

I was not right as a kid. She's not right now. It's OK. I've gotten over the crush thing

I'm just so fascinated. There's still some lust there. Godzilla's just misunderstood

So is Godzilla a villain? That's why this shocks me, because I thought you would be like

no, he's not a villain. It's like he's not a villain, but it's like man

It kind of destroys stuff. So in some people's world, it's probably a villain

What is he, if not just like a metaphor for like how humans are destroying the environment? Yeah

He is the balance. He keeps balance. He is the balance. I think the reason Godzilla is classified as a villain

is because typically the movies are revolved around the people, Godzilla is then the antagonist

to these people. So I'm gonna go ahead and say, I won't say this is full-fledged villain, but in some people's stories

that's your truth, that's your truth, if Godzilla's your villain. But I am just a big Godzilla fan

Okay, so my number one is the number one on Wrecker.com. I had to do it

It's the Joker, specifically the Joker from The Dark Knight. He's Ledger's character

It's one of those ones where it's like, part of me was like, I don't wanna put that at number one

because it's just so the obvious choice. But it really is, in my opinion, the best villain of all time

Clichés are clichés for a reason. In 20 years, people might look back on it and be like

no, he was just the number one in everybody's opinion because the actor died

It's like, no. If Heath Ledger was still alive, he would still be number one, I think. I agree

You know what's seen Mess Me Up? What? When he gets the two henchmen, and he's like

now we only have one spot, so we're going to have, and he breaks the thing, and he tosses it

and he's like, tryouts. And I remember seeing that in theaters and being like

Man, that's a little dark for me. And they fortunately cut away

but just thinking about these two friends who have to fight, and that's the Joker. That's what the Joker does

Who is the Joker? I understand why Joker is number one on your list and on ranker.com's list

When you think villain, you really do think the Joker. Yeah, he's just amazing
