Ranked-10 Situations Of Characters Dying

One of the most annoying trends in comics is how frequently characters die, and then are brought back to life

Well, today we're counting down the top 10 characters who are always dying, as voted on by you, the viewer

We all love the merc with a mouth, but have you ever noticed that every writer just seems to love killing Wade Wilson

like a lot the hulk has killed him o'brien has killed him and basically every other member of

the marvel comics universe has at one point or another tried or successfully achieved killing

deadpool but thankfully he has a mutant healing factor that always brings him back from the great

beyond number nine jean gray jean gray's original death as the phoenix was one of the most iconic

and momentous events in all of comics and then they brought her back because well reasons then

Then in her second major death, she got killed by Magneto at the end of the Grant Morrison

New X-Men run. Well that time, she stayed dead for almost 20 years until they just recently brought

her back. But you know most people on this list haven stayed dead as long as Jean Good for you Red good for you Number 8 Gwen Stacy Okay so Gwen Stacy is known more for being dead than being alive That being said she came back a few times over the years

She was in House of M, The Ultimate Universe, and even in the 616

But let's be real. She's dead. Yes, Spider Gwen is a thing, but come on

Gwen Stacy, the OG girl who got away, is dead. What's the punchline of this node? There isn't one

Gwen Stacy is dead. It's just sad. Number seven, Spider-Man. Remember Spider-Man The Other, where Spider-Man died and then was reborn as a weird totemic representation of the spider

Yeah, don't worry, most people don't either. Remember when Spider-Man died in the Ultimate Universe, and then we got Miles Morales

That was awesome! Into the Spider-Verse was great! Batman. Not counting the stray cliffhanger or two, Batman has died twice

And yet, each time he's died, he hasn't really died. The first time, Bane broke his back, and then a French cultist named Jean-Pierre Valli took over the role as Batman

And the second time, he got hit by Darkseid's twisty-eye-lasery-anti-life-equation thingy, and got sent spiraling throughout time, and Dick Grayson became Batman

So you know maybe next time when they say Batman is going to die he actually die Until then let just revel in the awesomeness of Caveman Batman Number five the Joker It feels like every eight years they kill the Joker

or make him cut his face off, or make a movie where they try to turn him into Travis Bickle

Well, this character is so extreme that you can. And good for them. Do it up, baby

In fact, let's do something even weirder. Let's have the Joker be Batman. Wait, they already did that

Okay, then let's have the Joker star in a cooking show, kind of like the Great British Bake Off

That'd be great. The Joker's Great Gotham Bake Off. Right? No? Why aren't you returning my emails, DC

Number four, Captain America. Cap died during World War II. He died during Civil War

And he also died during, spoiler alert, at the end of Endgame. Well, not really died, but you know what I mean

But the main reason he's on this list is because of when he died during Civil War

That one really made an impact on people. Can you imagine if he had stayed dead

That would have been awesome. But, you know, comics. Number three, Wolverine

Wolverine recently died by being encased in a solid block of adamantium

He was then brought back to life with laser claws? Nah, I don't know

I didn't read it. It looked not good But that not the only time he died Remember when he got ripped in half by the Hulk in the Ultimate Universe Or when he got shot to pieces by Sentinels in Days of Future Past

Or when he got killed by the Punisher in Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe? You know, the old Knucklehead keeps just coming back, though

Why? Because he's too popular to stay dead. Number two, Professor X

Professor X was killed by Cyclops in AVX. He was also killed by Human Invader during Dawn of X

and he was even killed by Jean Grey in X3, The Last Stand

But, you know, the less said about that, the better. Professor X is the cornerstone of the X-Men franchise

However, if his recent death has illuminated anything, it's that his absence is more interesting than his presence

The Schism era storyline where Wolverine and Cyclops lead rival X-Men teams

was brilliant and would have been great, but, you know, now Charles is back to life again

So, that's that. Number one, Moon Knight. Moon Knight dies and gets reborn for one reason and one reason only

Marble Brass doesn't know what to do with him. They pick a direction and then they go with it for a while

And then basically they all just go, nah, this isn't feeling good

Let's kill him and start over again. All that being said, the most recent iteration of Moon Knight

where he's basically just wearing a suit and being a badass, that's great

Fingers crossed this one sticks for a while
