Well, I'm, uh, in Pennsylvania camping this weekend and I just pulled in and one of my buddy's cars is here
0:30
but I can't find him, been calling for him. I don't know
0:33
He's probably scouting around on him waiting for a few other guys to show up too
0:40
But, um, this is the spot where is all the gear I C
0:50
fa trying to figure out where we're gonna set up at, hike into
0:58
We walk around a little bit, see if I can find him
1:14
So this, uh, weekend's video is, uh, camping in Pennsylvania and the father is Kenny
1:24
What's up, man? So, here's our little group shelter we set up today
1:34
got the tarp strung up. It's supposed to rain later tonight. So
1:43
we won't be ready. Set up a fire right there. Got a place to huddle under if it gets too bad
1:54
My buddy's ax and I'm gonna go set up my Hammock. I think it's gonna be a Hammock tonight
2:03
Ilbe. You can see where I cut off these panels on the sides just makes it a little bit lighter and a
2:12
little bit easier. So
3:00
I'm diverging a little bit this weekend. So I'm gonna use the Hammock instead for camping
3:05
I got my pillow x pillow, a climate pad which is insulated
3:10
That's gonna be my only insulation underneath me. And then the big Agnes bag on top and I should be falling
3:17
It's going to be I'm
4:48
getting rid of it. Can
4:59
you who invited him? This is why I don't camp with you seven
5:17
years now. This handle has been on this ax for seven years and I cut kindling home with this thing all day long
5:26
every year. And this ax is, it's the handle's just now. Got a split in it up here
5:31
Sure. But that's been on there for seven. Your hm. I nicked it with
5:40
a chainsaw right there. God, I don't know how long ago that was
5:44
Kenny said he'd stand it out for me. He never did. Right
6:26
So it's, uh, let's see. What time is it? Oh, it's almost one o'clock finally
6:35
going to bed. So we've been set up by the fire tonight and
6:42
uh, solving all the world's problems. But, uh, a fog has been rolling in and
6:51
it is crazy dark and I had trouble finding my shelter
7:01
Actually, I was coming back from the fire and I couldn't find my shelter because the fog is so dang thick tonight
7:07
But I am uh, I'm ready to hit the hay. All right guys
7:13
So gonna sign off for tonight. Good trip. So far. A lot of fun
7:20
We'll see you in the morning. So
8:09
I'm trying my hand at a carbon a spoon today. Thought that'd be a nice camp activity
8:15
Then this uh pretty cool piece of cherry. I got it all peeled up
8:20
But uh it's got a nice bend to it. So I'm gonna make a ladle with it, I think. Nice big spoon
8:26
I don't really have a lot of experience with carving spoons, but I have buddy Dave who's in camp with me
8:31
he's gonna show me the finer points of carving. But right now I just got to get this thing roughed out a little bit
8:37
So do that. All
9:28
right. Time for a mini tabletop review out of camp today. So I'm gonna be using this BRS Titanium stove
9:34
I got this off of Amazon and uh you've not seen these before
9:38
extremely lightweight, um, very small packs down to nothing and they're really inexpensive too
9:46
So if you're wanting to try gas stoves as an option and uh this is definitely a great way to check them out
9:56
Not spend a lot of cash there. It is sometimes it's nice
10:03
especially in a winter camp or uh a fall camp to have a backup gas stove in case you don't want to cook on the
10:09
fire all the time. Um And if you're in a group, uh cooking on a fire gets kind of
10:13
um, crowded quick. So it's nice if you just want to have something you can pull off to the side and boil up some water
10:22
and not, uh, you know, waste a lot of wood. I'm gonna cook a little lunch today with it
10:41
Whoops. It's kind of like Origami. There we go. Gotta
10:50
give him the right sequence to get them all opened up and it does not
10:59
have a diesel igniter. So you're gonna have to be able to spark it on your own
11:06
So we'll just do it that way. The
11:29
windscreen, the windscreen, but certainly up to that one, they could go watch it
