PROPAGATE SUCCULENTS Head - Overgrown Succulent Plants - Tutorial
Dec 9, 2025
When your favorite succulent gets too tall and leggy, what should you do? Many rosette forming succulents like Echeveria, Aloe, Kalanchoe, Aeonium, and others will often continue growing their stems longer and taller until eventually they break on their own or fall over. So what can you do with that plant to start it over nice and new.
In this video I demonstrate the 'decapitation method' of propagating the tops of these rosette forming succulents. After showing how to cut them off, clean the stems, cure them, and plant them up, you will get to see the finished product of the newly rooted plants that are now compact and manageable. #echeveria #succulent #succulents #propagation
