While it is not a complete fertilizer because it contains no nitrogen, it is chock full of calcium, potassium, phosphorous and other trace elements. It is also a wonderful soil conditioner, helping create airier soil, particularly in the clay soils. But the main reason why it is such a great fertilizer is because it is free!
