AGAPANTHUS - How to Plant & Grow Lots of Flowers - Winter Hardy!

Agapanthus, or Lily of the Nile, is a classic sub-tropical bloom seen around the world in areas with rather temperate winter weather. Generally this has meant that only gardeners in Zones 8+ could successfully grow this member of the Amaryllidaceae family in their garden. The rest of us had to go through with overwintering them in containers each season. However, over the last few years plant breeders have focused on creating a number of different winter hardy Agapanthus, including 'Johanna' which I am growing in my zone 6b garden here in West Chester, PA. In this video I document its growth over the course of the spring and summer on a one year old plant.
