I'm going to share some mind-blowing
0:01
reasons why computer science is not just
0:03
for techies and I promise you'll see it
0:05
in a whole new light computer science is
0:07
all around us and its impact is
0:09
undeniable from the smartphones we use
0:12
to communicate to the websites we visit
0:14
every day to the apps that make our
0:15
lives easier computer science is the
0:17
driving force behind it all it's the
0:20
backbone of the digital world we live in
0:22
and its relevance only continues to grow
0:24
with each passing day one of the biggest
0:26
misconceptions about computer science is
0:28
that it's only for geniuses or math
0:30
whizzes but the truth is computer
0:32
science is a field that's open to anyone
0:34
with a passion for problem solving and a
0:36
willingness to learn it's not just about
0:38
coding it's about using technology to
0:40
make a real difference in people's lives
0:42
another common misconception is that
0:44
computer science is boring that it's
0:46
just a bunch of nerds sitting in front
0:47
of computers all day but the reality is
0:50
computer science is an incredibly
0:52
Dynamic and exciting field that's
0:53
constantly evolving I've also found that
0:56
many people think computer science is
0:57
only about programming but that's just
0:59
the tip of the iceberg there are so many
1:02
other areas from data analysis to cyber
1:04
security that are equally important and
1:06
fascinating and then there's the
1:08
challenge that computer science is too
1:10
difficult that you need to be a tech
1:11
expert to even get started but the truth
1:14
is computer science is a skill that can
1:16
be learned and with the right resources
1:18
and support anyone can become proficient
1:20
artificial intelligence for example is a
1:23
branch of computer science that's
1:24
revolutionizing industries from
1:26
Healthcare to finance it's about
1:28
creating machines that can think and
1:29
learn learn like humans and it's already
1:31
showing incredible results cyber
1:33
security on the other hand is all about
1:36
protecting our Digital World from
1:37
threats and attacks it's a critical area
1:39
that requires constant Innovation and
1:41
vigilance to stay one step ahead of
1:43
hackers and cyber criminals and software
1:45
development is about creating the tools
1:47
and systems that make our lives easier
1:49
and more efficient from virtual reality
1:51
to mobile apps software development is
1:53
an incredible field that's full of
1:55
creative possibilities and let's not
1:57
forget about data science which is all
1:59
about a extracting insights and
2:00
knowledge from the vast amounts of data
2:02
we generate every day it's a field
2:04
that's critical to making informed
2:06
decisions and driving business success
2:08
one of the most compelling stories I've
2:10
come across is how computer science is
2:12
being used to tackle climate change from
2:14
monitoring deforestation to tracking
2:16
ocean currents computer science is
2:18
playing a critical role in helping us
2:20
understand and mitigate the impact of
2:21
climate change it's a powerful example
2:23
of how technology can be used to drive
2:25
positive change and solve some of the
2:27
world's most pressing problems another
2:29
great example is how computer science is
2:31
transforming the healthcare industry
2:33
from personalized medicine to artificial
2:35
intelligence powered diagnosis computer
2:37
science is helping doctors and
2:39
researchers find new and innovative ways
2:41
to improve patient outcomes it's an
2:43
incredibly exciting area that's full of
2:45
possibilities and potential in
2:47
conclusion computer science is an
2:49
incredible field that's full of
2:50
excitement possibilities and potential
2:53
it's not just about coding or technology
2:55
it's about using our skills and
2:57
knowledge to make a real difference in
3:00
thanks for watching and I'd love to hear
