To start, tell us a little bit about yourself
0:06
Give us your name, where you're from, and what you do. My name is Vince. I'm 34 years old
0:12
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and I'm currently unemployed
0:17
What's your reaction to getting to play Big Brother? I am so excited. It hasn't hit me. It doesn't feel real yet
0:26
I am a massive fan of Big Brother. I've been watching since season 16
0:31
and I started watching the live feeds in season 18, and this all just doesn't feel real yet
0:37
I'm trying to keep my feet on planet Earth. I'm trying to keep my head out of the clouds
0:42
and I'm trying to take it in and just absorb all of this as much as I can
0:49
until it hits me that it's real. It feels surreal being a house guest on Big Brother this season
0:57
I, again, it hasn't really hit me yet. I know that no matter what strategy you have coming into this
1:04
it could go out the window immediately. So it just is excitement, anxiousness
1:11
I've just sweat through my deodorant thinking about it. I am just ready to go
1:17
I'm eager. I've been waiting a very long time for this opportunity. What's your strategy going into the game
1:24
I think my strategy coming into the Big Brother house is to compartmentalize this game
1:29
down into weekly mini games of Big Brother. I want to view every single individual week
1:37
as its own mini game of Big Brother. And all I need to do for those weeks
1:42
is survive it one at a time and slowly take one step at a time
1:47
You can't say you're going to win the World Series without winning enough games to get to the playoffs
1:50
So I have to win the individual days, individual conversations, weeks, whatever that may be
1:57
Take it one week at a time and adapt and wing it and then adapt, wing it, adapt
2:03
It's the wah-wah technique. You just wing, adapt, wing, adapt. That what I got to do Why will you win Big Brother I will be the one to win Big Brother because I think I naturally have the perfect formula of what it takes
2:19
I like to call myself a master of none. I'm not really the best at anything
2:24
but I'm pretty dang good at almost everything. So I don't think I'll be..
2:28
I mean, I clearly won't be a physical threat. I think I'll be social enough to be able to make the genuine connections
2:35
that is the foundation of strategizing. And I think I'm athletic enough
2:40
to compete with the best of them when I need to. And I think if you can do all of those cohesively
2:46
you'll be in good shape. What are your biggest strengths? I would say my strengths are having empathy
2:55
which is important in the Big Brother house. My communication skills. I think my self-awareness
3:02
I like to think I'm self-aware, which is a surprising amount of people, something that a surprising amount of people don't have
3:09
as much as they should, I'll say. And again, also in the Big Brother house, self-awareness is huge because you don't want
3:15
to be too obviously obnoxious or rubbing people the wrong way, especially early on
3:21
The first impressions are huge. So yeah, I think empathetic. I'm very competitive
3:28
I'm very, very much a one track mind person. If I set my mind to something, I'm going to go at it 120%
3:35
And yeah, hopefully all of those make for a pretty successful season
3:42
We'll see. What are your biggest weaknesses? I know I said one of my strengths was my self-awareness
3:48
So I'm going to do my best, but a weakness could be if I get too excited, if I get too riled up, maybe I might say the wrong thing
3:55
I'm going to try not to. I'm going to try to be mindful of that self-awareness and my competitiveness
4:00
I don't want to I'm not a poor sport, but I don't want to get too riled up if I'm if I'm not doing as well as I expect myself to do
4:10
Do you plan on keeping any secrets about yourself from the other house guests
4:14
I don't know if there's any secrets, because here's the thing. I don want to have any lie where I have to hold on to it for an entire three month period
4:27
Because I don't know if I'm going to forget. Like, I don't want to lie about my age, even though I look maybe a little younger than I am
4:33
I don't want to say I'm younger because then maybe we're talking about my high school graduation year and I say, oh, nine
4:38
And people are like, that doesn't make sense. That's pointless. I've thought about, should I not say I'm unemployed
4:43
Because they'll say, that's weird. Why would a 34 year old not be employed? Maybe he's a trust fund kid or maybe he's a, I don't know, already successful or something or he's lying about
4:54
I don't know. I've overthought anything. There's not going to be any secrets that I'm going to keep
4:58
How will you crush your enemies? I will crush my enemies before they crush me by having the self-awareness of reading people
5:09
I really think I am good at reading people. And I know a lot of people probably say that coming into the Big Brother house
5:14
But I really think I have a hyper awareness of how people are portraying themselves or how people are acting towards me
5:26
I think I'm hyper vigilant on those verbal and nonverbal cues of how their demeanor is
5:34
So I think I'm going to be able to figure out who might not be on my side
5:39
and then I will rally the troops to get rid of them before they get rid of me
5:44
And that is how I will crush my enemies. What are you bringing to the show that nobody has seen before
5:52
You'll never see anybody more genuine than Vince. That's who I am
5:56
That's something that I think I bring to the table. I am a genuine human being and I can't fake that
6:04
I think I have what it takes to win Big Brother because I just have the perfect formula
6:08
Again, it's who I am. It's just in my core. I have the social skills and the physical athleticism to compete with the best of them without ever actually looking like a massive threat
6:21
What makes Big Brother such a successful show after 25 years? So this is a huge season because Big Brother is celebrating their 25th anniversary And I think what makes Big Brother so unique and have such a loyal following is the uniqueness of it It one of
6:40
the longest reality competition shows, meaning it's three months rather than just a couple weeks
6:48
There's live feeds. It's on 24-7. So there's going to be something happening at all times where
6:54
you know, the fans of the show can watch and enjoy. There's a lot of unique elements to it
7:00
that just changing the themes each season, you know, keeping the beloved competitions
7:07
but adding in new competitions. It's always fresh. It's always new, but it also keeps true to who it
7:14
is at its core. And that is Big Brother. What's your strategy going into the game
7:23
My strategy for the Big Brother house, I don't even know what I'm doing on planet Earth
7:26
let alone know what I'm going to do in the Big Brother house. So that's where I have to wing it and I have to adapt
7:31
That's all I could do. Just got to do my best. Tell us a little bit about your life in the outside world and how that has prepared you
7:39
for Big Brother. I don't want to sound too lost in life because I should have I know I should have things figured
7:45
out by my 30s, but I don't really have a set long term career path that I've been
7:52
been like that I found that I've been so passionate about. So I've had a lot of different jobs
7:56
throughout my adult life. So I don't even like associate myself with like, I am a this or I
8:04
formerly works work long term or regularly as this. I'm trying to figure out what the next thing is
8:10
I do have a one of my hobbies is photography. And I would love to one day have a career in
8:16
maybe like sports photography or something along those lines. I think that would be a lot of fun
8:21
My main goal is I just want to have, I want to enjoy what I do
8:25
That's my biggest thing. I know what I don't want to do
8:29
I've had enough jobs to know what I don't want to do, but I'm just trying to narrow it down and land what I do want to do
8:36
So all in due time, I'm not comparing myself to others. I'm not going to stress myself out too hard
