Hello guys welcome to Brina creations in today's video I would like to show you how I store
0:10
Nigerian foodstuffs in the freezer so my name is Oge and I'm reaching from Abidja Nigeria I make
0:16
videos on healthy living great recipes and how to achieve all of these on the budget so I have my
0:23
Nigerian food stuff I buy in bulk if you've seen any of my videos you know I buy a lot of stuff
0:30
at once in bulk and the only way I can successfully use them up when I need to because I don't
0:37
get to use all at the same time is to store them so I have my obonoh I have a goosey which is grounded
0:43
and then I have my bonga fish I have um Ogirisi and I have my lachi I have my spunked kwanla
0:53
that have been debaoned I have here bonga fish I also have here kukyam powder and
1:00
couple more other dried stuff tilapia fish and asa fish asa fish was already in the freezer i
1:07
had them all in the freezer because i didn't have time so i just brought them all out so i could
1:12
organize them all these things here are going to be enough for us for the next two to three months the powder actually may last a little longer but that how we do it here so that at any time we find time to do batch cooking or do some emergency food
1:28
or emergency cooking we have our ingredients at our bacon calls i freeze my vegetables from time
1:34
to time i also have a mini backyard garden that i can get vegetables whenever i need them so that's
1:41
the reason i'm sharing with you guys so you know a couple of things
1:45
don't freeze well like irum um oba that is a forgotten name some beans like that okay so
1:53
ordinarily it should be able to freeze well but because in Nigeria there are power fluctuations
1:58
happen and sometimes they may not be power supply for about two days because some the power supply
2:05
is not consistent in Nigeria you may have some things that are in the freezer and then because there's
2:10
no power it tours and then freezes again and tours and freezes again
2:15
is my dried archie and I'm removing everything here to so that I can put everything back
2:20
I have my I have my powdered kukuyam. I also have my wabha in this one
2:27
I want to remove everything so that I can get a bigger container and put it all
2:32
That my offer and then I have my achi and then my Ogirisi This is inside a foil pack and more Euro and then that it guys and then this is my um all in one go so the reason for this is so that I can have
2:51
everything in one place whenever I need to cook a job my obono and I
3:05
I keep it frozen. If you don't freeze your oban or if you don't store it well, when it gets
3:10
bad, it starts to taste soapy. I have my smoke parlor here, which I've also deboned and packed
3:16
an individual plastic bag so that when I need, I just take the quantity I need. And because if it's
3:22
frozen, it would be harder to bring out the bones. So I have my oba in this also. I forgot that
3:28
before. So this is what I basically do. Remember, I'm here to show you how to manage your home
3:34
on the budget and this is one of the things I do by getting organized storing well and don't forget
3:40
that you're not allowed to forget anything in the freezer that's practically what we have to organize
3:46
right so when you organize and put everything in one place it's difficult for you to forget that
3:52
you have something and you keep buying remember if you forget you have some things you can keep buying and buying and then eventually those ones you have even though you any freezer could get freezer bond and then they become useless to you So guys you can feel free to organize
4:08
I'm just here trying to organize as much as I can to make sure that they fit
4:12
I make use of some 10-liter beans or 25-liters beans. I mean this plastic, big plastic buckets to organize my freezer
4:22
In another video, I'll be showing you guys how I organize. my freezer to make it easy for me to find things especially when you don't have time to
4:32
go scrambling in the freezer all the time so this is one way I try to keep my things
4:38
well organized so this is me basically trying to figure out how to organize it how best
4:44
it's going to fit eventually I may end up changing these two beans and make using it in
4:49
five-liter bean instead because that's going to be bigger I didn't use this because I
4:55
just bought bigger quantity of fish remember that the plastics you are allowed to use are only
5:01
plastics that are safe for freezer and i'll be showing you a more difficult video on what kinds
5:06
of plastics to use i'll be seeing you guys in another video don't forget to subscribe like drop
5:11
your comments below and share with your friends and loved ones i'll see you next time bye
