MY HOLY GRAIL Drug Store Makeup That Rivals High End! 2024

Hello, I'm Beth with 50 Plus Beauty and I'm pleased to have you here with me today because

I'm going to be sharing with you my top nine drugstore makeup favorites

And these are makeup favorites that are not just great for the drugstore

They are great for any price level. In fact, in all the products I'm going to be showing you, I don't just use these products

when I want to save money. I use these products every day because I think they're not just as good as high-end

I think in many cases they are absolutely better than high-end. Now before I get into sharing my favorites with you, if you have favorite drugstore products

I hope you'll list them in the comments section and also if you have a certain class of products

that you can't find in the drugstore. For me, that is eye makeup. I always use high-end eyeshadows

Let me know that in the comments section as well. Now before I get into sharing all these great products with you, I do have a question

This eyeshadow that I have on right now is not a drugstore eyeshadow because I have problems

Well, let me go ahead and remove most of this makeup and we'll get started

Okay, here I am up close and personal. I don't have base on or anything like that, but I do have my eyeshadow on

This is not a drugstore find. I can find fabulous products in the drugstore, equal matches for high-end products, really

except for eyeshadow. I know the wet and wild, they say that is, but it's just so not fun to use those plasticky

trays and they don't have a good selection usually in each one

I'm not that wild about wet and wild, but I do love this Tarte eyeshadow and I'll link

it below. It is truly one of my favorites. I use it every day

And one of the game changers, I can't show you now because I've already put it on, but

this is the CoverGirl Lid Lock Up and I use this now instead of the very expensive, what

was it? Urban Decay Primer Potion, which was about $26 and this is less than $6

And it lets my eyeshadow last all day. It makes the color much more beautiful

Love this. This is number one of my beauty game changers. Now I'm ready for mascara and I actually have two different drugstore mascaras

It's kind of a tie and I went out to Walmart to get some new versions of these

This one is the CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume. This one is the L'Oreal Lash Paradise

I'm sure you've tried this before. It's fabulous. This one is the one that I've used since before I came on YouTube for about 10 years

This is all I used to wear. Now I use this as my daytime, not glam mascara

This is more of a glam mascara. However, what I'm going to do is put one mascara on each eye so you can see the difference

Let me move in a little closer. Okay, first let me go ahead and do a little curling here

If you don't curl your eyelashes, you really can't have fabulous looking lashes

Let me know in the comment section if you curl your lashes or if you don't. If you don't, why

And it helps to lift your elbow just a bit to make sure the curl goes up

Okay, there we go. Okay, let's go ahead with this CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume on this side, which is my left

And basically I'll do this quickly. Everybody knows how to put on mascara

Sometimes I scruffle back and forth to make the lashes look a bit thicker

I love this mascara because it gives you long, beautiful, curled lashes

It doesn't flake, but also I like it that it is not clumpy

Let me go ahead and apply a second coat to that so you can see really what it looks like

This mascara is great if you want really dark lashes, really bold lashes, but not clumpy

This is a fabulous day mascara, I would say. And it is good at night if you like more of the natural look

So that is how that mascara looks. Very, very beautiful. And again, I've used it for like a decade

Absolutely love that. Now let's go ahead and use the Lash Blast Volume on this side

You're not supposed to go like this, but I just put the wand in because it's a brand new tube

So I need to make sure to get all of the little brushes in there coated

This is such a beautiful mascara. When it came out, everybody was using it

This is iconic for sure. Let me scruffle a little bit. Okay, there is that mascara

And let me know in the comment section which one you like more. I almost think I like the Lash Blast Volume

Yeah, I think I do. I think this looks a little more curled

Let me go ahead and put the Lash Blast Volume on this side and see if I can't make it match

Because right now it doesn't match very well. And again, do a little scruffling

Oh yeah, that's beautiful. Let me go back here just to try to even it up since that other lash has two mascaras on it

Well, that is very beautiful. And oddly, I think of these two right now, I really like the CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume

So let's go ahead and make this the number one. And this is fabulous, but one thing about this is it does tend to dry out pretty quickly

And the Lash Blast Volume does not. It lasts a good long time. And as you can tell, those are very glam lashes

Love them. Okay, my next drugstore beauty fave is this Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation Makeup

in 40 Nude. But I also use 30 Buff. They're kind of interchangeable

I don't really know which I should use today, but I'll go ahead and use this. It's a little darker than the Buff color

And I just put four dots all over my face. And this is the foundation that I use every single day of my life when I am not going

to use something different for YouTube or whatever. Because this is just so easy

It's so dependable. It's so inexpensive. And I'll just give a little spritz here

I am using the MAC Prep and Prime, which is not drugstore

But then you just go ahead with your brush. And this is an Angie Hot and Flashy brush

Or actually it's a BK Beauty, not an Angie. I can tell because the BK Beauties are burgundy and the Angies are gray, because Angie loves

that gray color. But look how gorgeous that looks. Absolutely beautiful. And I always bring it down on my neck

Because your neck doesn't necessarily match your face, unless you bring a little bit of

it down there. But isn't that just gorgeous? Let's go ahead and do the forehead

This is such an old workforce for me. And if you've never used this, I think you would absolutely love it

Okay now, how pretty does that look? I think that just looks like healthy skin, just like it says

Absolutely gorgeous. Gorgeous, healthy looking skin. Great foundation and drugstore price, which is wonderful

Now next, you can see one of my beauty problems, which is these black marks right inside of

my nose. And usually I don't worry about them too much. I don't cover them up as a matter of course most days

But I do try to remember it when I want it to look a little special, like maybe going

for a night out. And these are my two. And as you can tell, they are worn down to a nub

But they're still usable. But since I was going to Walmart anyway to get the new mascaras, I decided to go ahead

and get a brand new one. And isn't that pretty? That's a lot prettier

And so you just go in wherever you have darkness. This could be anywhere on your face because this peach color knolls out black

And I definitely have black right there. Let me know in the comment section if you also have black there

Maybe it's just me. I don't know. But doesn't that look prettier? I'll put a little more right in here

And after I get that in there, I just pat it in with my fingers because the temperature

the hot temperature of my fingers kind of blends that in. Very, very pretty

And then I'll powder it later to make sure it stays put. And I didn't mention what this was

This is the L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Concealer Crayon, Correcting Concealer, Correcting Concealer

And that is really, really beautiful. And I suppose you could use it under your eyes too

However, lately I have found kind of another holy grail. And this is an under eye concealer

It's the Catrice Under Eye Brightener. It's called Instant Awake. And I'll show you how it looks

Again, it's just a little peach. And as you can tell, I've got some under eye bags going

And I'm going to just apply this with my fingers. Look how beautifully that brightens up the under eye area

And I've got some veins down there. And it acts like a concealer and pretty much conceals those veins, which is just great

So that is how that looks. And if you have under eye bags, this is an absolutely wonderful product because it is

peach just like the other product. And so basically, if you have a dark blue or a black area in your bag, it just kind

of makes them look like skin tone. It raises them up. And it doesn't look like you have a bag anymore, which is just wonderful

Now, since this is a drugstore video, I'm just going to use my favorite drugstore pressed

powder, which is the CoverGirl Smoothers, just to kind of work that in there

But that is an absolutely beautiful powder. And I think it's my bonus in this video because, again, I have worn this for probably, actually

this one, probably 20, 25 years. It's an amazing powder. OK. Let's see

What's the next step here? OK. The next step is a blush

And I absolutely love this CoverGirl True Blend So Flushed Blush. And this is in the color 320 Love Me

I have several of them. This is another color. And this is 360 Sweet Seduction

Maybe I should try that. But obviously, I like this one better because I'm reaching the bottom of the pan there

Let me find a blush brush. OK. Let's go ahead and try this out

Look how beautiful that is. I like the bright rosy pink color

I like the fact that it has just a little bit of a glow to it, just a little bit of

a highlight, a little bit of glimmer. That is an absolutely beautiful, beautiful color

Very, very pretty. And I think this would kind of be a universal color because it is kind of a pinky peach

color which goes warm and it goes a little cooler too. And actually, if you have kind of a neutral skin tone, as I think I'm a little warm neutral

but I can also wear neutral. I think that's very, very nice

And sometimes I put a little blush up there. OK. This is my go-to bronzer

It's called the L'Oreal Lumi Bronzet. And this is in the color, what is the color here

It is in the color 01 Light. And this is a fabulous bronzer

And I think it is better than high-end. High-end bronzers on me can just look like I have a dirty face

I don't know what it is, but I've never really found one that I thought looked natural and

this one looks totally natural. And you can see I'm hitting the bottom of the pan there

I'll just take it over my areas where the sun would hit me

And don't forget your neck when it comes to bronzer. But I think I'm also going to go ahead and use it a little bit for some shading here

And I'll just go in like this. Do the other side. Then I'll come along the cheekbone area to kind of sculpt that

I noticed I am getting jowls, especially over here. Fun, fun, fun

Aging is so much fun. Do a little on the sides of the nose

There you go. OK. I'm going to finish it off with some lipstick

And I truly love this lipstick. This is the Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lip Color

It says 16 hours and really it lasts from like 8 to 5

It really does. What you do is it has the lip color on one side and then a nice gloss on the other

And you're going to put the lip color on but let it dry before you put the gloss on

Here's the lip color. It's a little hard to do this without a good mirror

There's one out to the side here. OK

There's that lip color. Very, very beautiful. And if you're tired of neutrals, this is a fabulous color

This is in the color, what is it? Perennial Plum. And I've always been a sucker for roses and plums

And I think that's just gorgeous. Let me go off camera just for a minute, get this dry and I'll come back. OK

Here we are and that lip color is dry. Now, I'm going to go in and just give it a little bit of lip line

And this is the Revlon Colorstay Longwear Lip Liner in the color Rose Blush or it's Blush Rose

And it says it goes with anything pink. And this is not one that I have in this video really, although I will link it below

There we go. OK

Now, the color is dry and I'm going to go in with the second part of this little lip kit

which is this clear gloss. And that just gives you some shine on top of that lip color

And I will say that I truly love this product, but you're going to run out of the gloss well

before you run out of the lip color. And again, this says 16-hour wear, which I can't swear by that, but it definitely lasts all day

And I really like the convenience of that. Well, I'm nearly finished with that drugstore makeup and I think it turned out just beautifully

But I am going to go in and get rid of some of the shine with the CoverGirl CG Smoothers

And this is in the color Translucent, which is basically clear. And see, it just kind of nulls out your shine

I don't use it everywhere, just in the areas where I'm a little bit shiny

Well, that was a look at my top drugstore favorites that are equal to high-end

Truly love them. And these are some of the makeup items that I wear on a daily basis
