Hey guys, Ron back here with a new video and today we're going to be talking about how
0:04
you can get a pay increase from your current digital marketing job
0:08
But before we jump into the video, if you haven't signed up for Seth's course and you'd like to sign up for it, you can find the link down in the description and sign up for the course
0:15
And also if you'd like to see the resume I used to land over six figures within digital marketing, you can find that down below as well
0:21
So to jump into the video, say you're currently working a digital marketing job, right
0:27
And say you're about what, five, six months into it. So the best way to get an increase in your pay is by looking for another job
0:38
So I'd say waiting for a raise, you're most likely going to get a certain percentage
0:45
maybe like 10% in like a year or maybe like maybe half a year possibly, which is not bad
0:52
But if you really want a huge increase, say maybe 50%, yes, you're going to have to look
0:57
for another job and the steps you have to take for it. Definitely want to make sure you have a solid cover letter and you have updated your resume
1:05
with all the most recent knowledge that you've learned from your current role and make sure
1:10
you have aspects of positive things you've done. Maybe you've increased performance like 50% within the span of 90 days
1:19
Make sure you have proof of that kind of stuff and put that within your resume. I have a full breakdown of all this within my resume bundle so you can find that within
1:29
the website. But yeah, make sure you have all that kind of stuff down pat
1:33
And during this particular time period where things are way more remote for the most part
1:39
you definitely want to take advantage of it. So definitely allocate certain timeframes within your workday where you just pretty
1:46
much do interviews with other companies. So you can pretty much still work, but at the same time you can talk to other companies
1:54
and get through that interview process and you can repeat the process with other companies
2:00
So definitely stay on top of that. Be consistent with that. And yeah, make sure you follow up when they actually reach back out to you because they
2:09
most likely will reach back out to you. And when it comes to the salary, make sure you have a solid range that you want to be in
2:16
So let's say if you're making 40K now, make sure that in my case, I'd probably be, okay
2:23
I want 60 or 70 or something like that. So make sure you pick your particular range
2:27
I mean, that's just for me. That's how I would probably go about it. But yeah, make sure you find out which range you're trying to go for
2:34
Then yeah, you should be good to go. Eventually, one company will give you that offer
2:39
So yeah, just stay tuned for that. Then you'll be off on that
2:44
I'm going to make another video about how to properly quit your digital marketing job
2:49
But for now, this is the best way to actually get a pay increase
2:53
Basically leave your role, make sure you take notes of what the best things you've done
2:59
with your current role. Make sure your resume is up to date. I highly recommend you do a cover letter
3:05
And yeah, that's really it for now. As usual, if you haven't signed up for Seth's course and you'd like to sign up for it, you
3:11
can find the link down in the description. Also, if you'd like to see the resume I used plus a bunch of cheats and notes that I've
3:21
pretty much created and based on my experience, you can find that all down in the description
3:26
as well. I'll catch you guys in the next video. And that's it
3:30
Later guys
