Follow along as I use my trusty Echo trimmer and Ryobi chainsaw to clean up and clear the perimeter of the house and backyard, in this satisfying time lapsed video. Is my current equipment up to the task, or do I need to call in the big guns???
As you'll see, I first shot this video on Easter, but life happened and I was a little bit late getting it edited and published. Thank you for your patience!

What's going on guys? Happy Easter. We've got a lot going on today, mostly yard work actually, but it's spring here
0:09
And we've got grass, check this out. We've got overgrowth. We've got junk. Back there in the corner, we've got some cactus that I've got to figure out how to deal with
0:20
But you know, aside from that, we've got some blue bonnets. Let's go check out these blue bonnets
0:24
We've got a little bit here. You can see growing in with the cactus on this side of the house. You've probably already seen in earlier videos the blue
0:29
bunets growing in on the opposite side of the house but then back here we've got a nice
0:35
little mini-see of them it's just a pretty color when they're all grouped together like this
0:40
i'm a big fan so really happy i'm gonna leave those alone today is mainly about the backyard around the
0:48
house getting that kind of cleaned up before it gets too far out of control i've got to figure out if
0:54
i want to bring my mower up here and do it by hand or if i want to hire out someone with a zero turn i hadn't
0:59
gotten any zero turn yet I don't have anywhere to put it so we'll figure that out as
1:04
we get there but let's get started. Real quick I'm barely getting started, but we've got some stuff here in the corner that
1:25
has been here for some time. So you can see. hang up you can see this gate is kind of just chilling except the fairly large tree
1:36
that's actually growing through that gate so at some point the gate was set here maybe
1:41
temporarily who knows but this small tree has grown fairly largely and I'm gonna have to
1:48
take that thing out before I can do any of the rest of this stuff because it's all trapped so you know that's the fun stuff that you get whenever you take over someone else's
1:57
mess so Stick around. hus that
5:34
this looks like an orange tabby cat just hanging out in the blue bonnets
5:41
looked like it had a snake or a mouse or something earlier not sure what's going on but
5:47
he seems comfortable doesn't mind me at all, so, oh well, back to edit
15:36
Okay, we're finished
15:48
Let's take a look and see what I did. Looking from the front yard in, you can see, move this, the gutters off so I could
15:58
string trim and clear up this whole area, clear up this whole corner, and kind of started
16:05
to separate that tree from the fence. I'll walk around there in a second and show you what I mean
16:11
because they have kind of merged into one thing. And then I trimmed all through there, as well as all along this back fence, except for a handful of places where I've got, let me show you, I've got some cactus
16:35
that I don't know exactly how to get rid of the best way because I don't want it to come back
16:42
and I don't want to hurt myself. But I mean it's pretty big plants over here, pretty big cacti
16:49
Some more here. A little bit more along here. But all in all, I'm pretty happy with it
17:10
It wasn't a huge pain as far as t it down. It was just time consuming and getting everything to go
17:17
I think I used about a tank and a half of fuel and I don't know how much string
17:23
Not that much. Not that much. It was, this stuff cut pretty easily
17:28
I was really glad that it didn't get all gummed up around the head of the weed whacker
17:34
But all through here, we've got trees that are kind of growing in through the fence
17:40
Summer vines, yes, but then you can see here, I had to cut a lot of this tree
17:45
There was a tree growing here through the, there was a gate and some other posts here
17:50
I was growing through the gate, kind of pinning it all to the fence. So I had to cut all that out
17:54
I'll come on the other side eventually and pull all that stuff away
17:58
But then over here, this tree, look at this. You can see it's kind of just become one with the fence. There are several parts in here where you can see the fence
18:09
is literally a part of the tree now. And not only there, but around here, it's kind of all just a mess
18:21
So I think what's going to have to happen is this whole this whole little section of fence is going to come down, which I don't want it anyway, so that's fine
18:29
I'll probably try to at least try to save some of this tree. I'm going to do some more t
18:34
the larger secondary trunks around there clear off some more space and try to take
18:40
care of it and let it grow but I don't know we'll see how that goes but clear this
18:48
nice little area out here just to get it started of course this stuff here I'm gonna I
18:53
think they may still be using it so I'm gonna leave it alone but you know I'm pretty happy
18:58
with all that I got done I think it took four or five hours six hours I'll have to go
19:03
back and look and see but I'm pretty beat I'm gonna go home I'm gonna shower off I'm gonna
19:07
drink some water and rest and then work on this video for you guys so happy
