joined by Andrew Tokely and we're going to get straight into our boxing news from this week

So Tokas has been heavily spoken about in recent weeks. It's finally been announced

AJ versus White 2 thoughts I don't know if I'm in the minority

here but it's just what it is that fight does absolutely nothing for me

I watch it, it does nothing for me I don't think you're in the minority

because I've seen some of the comments and stuff like that but I think

the backlash would have been worse had it not have been that

this is almost being deemed as a bit of a warm-up fight for AJ to

go in with Wilder. I think if that fight wasn't lingering and there

wasn't talk of that, and this was AJ's next move per se, I think it would have been

hammered for what it is. It's a money fight. It's a cash-grabbing it

Is it that big of a money fight, do you think? Because obviously they've announced the pay-per-view it's an expensive pay-per-view isn't it yeah 20 27 i

think it is 26.95 if you're not already a um design we don't know about that because i haven't

announced it they've announced they've announced the set price i haven't announced anything else

so it might be if you're a subscriber it might not be it's whatever at this point we don't know

yeah i've heard rumors that if you're a subscriber you get you obviously do get it discounted because

well if you don't then there's going to be uproar in there because yeah

what I mean by it's a money fight or it's the biggest warm up fight

you can make if that makes sense yeah like if you're preparing for Wilder you don't

fight Dillion White because he's got a completely different style you fight someone like an

FA Drag Bird that's going to keep it long and throw quick, hard, straight punches at you

You don't fight with anyone. Ruiz doesn't get him ready for Joshua, does he

Yes, but there's a slight difference with Ruiz because Ruiz is actually a competent fighter

Ruiz is actually a legitimately top 6-7 fighter. They build this up, aren't they, with the needle

They'll build it up, it'll be whatever. It's like, I don't care. At the end of the day, it's a fight..

it's not a fight where it's like I'm sat there thinking, oh, I wish that happened

You know what I mean? It's just what it is. It's another rematch

They're going to replay that. You're not going to be that buzzed for it

I think a lot of people... I'm not sure the boys are going to be that great

to be honest with you. I don't, because it's like both have had awful performances

Against Franklin? Yes, Joshua won it, clearly. Yeah, that's what I mean

I don't think AJ's performance was awful, but he was gun-shy. He wasn't like the old AJ

I don't think he was gun-shy against White. I don't know. I think Joshua wins it pretty comfortably

and I don't think it's really that competitive against White. But I don't think..

I think he'll look... They'll both underperform, But they'll both underperform to the level in which Joshua's dominant

But yeah, I'm just not bothered. It's just... It's a fight. They'll replay the clip of Joshua getting dropped

and they'll replay the clip of Wyatt throwing a punch after the bell

And they'll round that down your throat for a few months, and that's what it is, isn't it

It's like not... I don't care, to be honest. It is what it is

Decent fight, go get your money. But I'm not going to be like, oh my God, I'm buzzing for it

when there's sort of a new A-Fault that I can think about instead

Yeah, fair play. Another heavyweight fight announced for that month that has been spoken about for a long time

Who has to do for? I finally got it over the line. I don't think, for me, I don't think this is all that competitive

if I'm being honest with you. Neither, because Dubois is going to go out there and chin him, apparently

because when one promoter does it and you're a fan of that promoter you support it but when the other one

does it you dig him a hole in the ground and you bury him

and it's ridiculous a promoter's always in the back of his fight

whether he actually believes it or not you had Hearn you had Hearn saying that Crowder was going to go and beat Lomachenko

and stuff like that at every point when there's a massive underdog

their promoter backs them and it just is what it is yeah so

Frank saying it is not really that don't take it seriously he obviously doesn't really

he said you're very pretty if you're Dubois and then you've got Frank Warren saying oh yeah

Daniel's going to go get chin what are you thinking you know what I mean yeah

exactly you've got to say it yeah anyway another unconvinced fight in the awful division

of this heavyweight we're going to stick with the heavyweight mate because there is one fight I know that you're absolutely

buzzing for yeah this is apparently happening

the white Romo's back and he's taking it seriously this time. And he's trading properly

this time as well. He's trading properly, the white rhino. He's back

What? And he's two fights from Joshua at Wembley. He's going to go knock out David..

Sorry, not David Price. He's going to knock out Fraser Clark, knock out Povetkin and knock out Joshua

He got knocked out by David Price, man. Yes. But he was going to knock out... If you seem

and then he was going to go and knock out Joshua at Wembley. Talking about a guy whose biggest

for. 23rd of August in Australia. Great fight. Yeah, decent fight. Decent fight

Upper tyre. It's a great fight because they're both similar level, I think

There's both obvious flaws there, but there's obvious strengths as well. And that's why it's a good fight

It's weird. Upper tyre's just signed with Tasman management, I think. Or he's got some sort of deal with them

And they've just signed a deal with his own. Yeah, they're not only promoting it, but they're the Manistines too, aren't they

Yeah, and they've just done a deal with the zones, like could land on the zone

Yeah, but yeah, obviously at Cruiserweight, you've got Mastenech, who was the mandatory, who's going and fighting Crispin and Smith in the autumn

So that meant the React Pore, who was number two of the IVF, was the mandatory

So they've obviously made that fight. Smart move from Boxer. Decent fight

Decent fight at that level. I like that fight a lot. Yeah

Another thing. You were right on something this week, Tokas. Do you want to go into detail

about what you predicted? For once. It wasn a tit by the way before everyone gets their hopes up It wasn a tit I just said that Virgil Ortiz will not be making weight this week

and he won't be fighting this week because he cannot make 147. And he's proved that

It's not nice that he's fainting whilst walking about. Apparently, it was really bad

It was bad. He got mouth to mouth, he went to hospital, it was bad. But it's not a good thing

but it's when it's blatantly obvious you can't make a weight anymore and you're going to the

point where it's killing yourself basically killing yourself because you and what i'm saying

when that's a term that's used too frequently but you got i think it's roma feasts or something

where literally so your your muscles are burning each other down and all the all the protein in

your body is coming out of your urine and your body shutting down. That's what he's had multiple times

Imagine. Yeah, you're not only going through that to you're going through that for the purpose

to get in the ring and have a fight. That's what's meant

An elite welterweight, a top five welterweight, 36 hours later. Ridiculous. He should never, ever

be sanctioned for a welterweight fight ever again. No. blatantly obvious you can't make it without doing some serious arm and to be honest

can he make light middle can he make 154 without doing themselves some serious arm

because that's a question well it's not that much of a jumping weight is it exactly it's

seven pounds like can he make that well why would you you're going to lose so much strength and

condition doing all of those things like yeah sometimes i don't really understand

why they dropped so much weight. Golden Boy wants him at welterweight

because the welterweight scene at the minute will come into the NS fight in a bit

But you've got Spencer Crawford who will fight at welterweight, then vacate because the rematch

will be at light middle. Yeah. But then you've got Stani Ones will get upgraded

to full champion because he's WBA regular. Golden Boy wanted the WBA belt

You'll get Boots, who's IBF interim, upgraded to full champion ugas and firman for the wbc and then alexis roacher will fight um cody

crowley for the wbo golden boy wanted the wba title to make a unification between ortiz and

rocha at welterweight and that's why they like kept pursuing this fight and it's blatantly obvious

hasn't gone to plan has it so um yeah oscar's uh got a bit of an issue on his hands but um that

brings us nicely onto this week's fight picks now we touched on a few of these but um before we go on to saturday's car we got got um action

on friday night on the zone um diego pacheco's back out in action very if you haven't watched him

um he's very very good isn't he tuckers yeah massive massive massive super middleweight

Ranger, he can hit hard He's like 21, 22 I think Just high knockout ratio

He's just a very, very good fighter It's a knockover job on Friday He'll win it by stoppage quite comfortably

Pretty early on But it's an okay fight for his development And he's a really good fighter to watch

There's a couple of decent fights on the undercard as well Rocky Inanas is back I was looking at his record

Because he's exciting he's 33 and 1 he's 25 years old so he's had

30 KOs in that and 1 KO defeat the last time he had a fight

that went to points was 2014 when he was 16 there's a few hidden gems

on those yeah I'll see what he's going to fight a brilliant fight

I think it's Superfly it might be Superfly or Bantam Israel Gonzalez

against Rodriguez that's a brilliant fight both of them beat at world level

by Angahas Israel Gonzalez just fought Dan Rodriguez on the Canelo Golovkin guard

that's that that would be a really really good fight back and forth

but yeah that's one to look out for on Friday but yeah Diego Pacheco

is also the focus of this week's spotlight I'll put a link

Jaron Ennis is back in action against Romain Villa. Boots looks good

doesn't he? But this is a tough test. Yeah, yeah. He was

on that insane run. Had Abreu in there, had loads of decent names. He had a

no contest with Van Heerden. Then last time out against the Ukrainian kid just looked forward to ideas and went to points Won every round but it was not a brilliant performance

He's very, very good, Ennis. He's very, very good. He's a next great welterweight, I think

And Romovir isn't a mug. He's just beaten Rashidi Ellis, clearly. Solid, solid top 10

Solid top 10 level welterweight. He's evolving in that weight at a good time, isn't he

Because Welton has had its... They're all kind of aging, aren't they

All the breaks at Welton's weight. Moving past a little bit. You look at Ennis

he had about eight different promoters at the same time for years, and that's why he's been

out to him frequently, and that's why he hasn't been on regular showtime when he's been on showbox

But now he seems to sort that out. I think he's going to deal with Tom Brown. So he's headlining the showtime now

And you've got Stanley Onis there for him at showtime and Tom Brown

You've got Furman and Ugas there. You've got Crowley there. You've got a lot of weight composition

Yeah, there's good fights for him there. And they'll have control of three of the belts because Ennis will get elevated

Stanley Onis will get elevated. And then Furman and Ugas is for the WBC, essentially

So they'll have control of three of the titles and that's good for Ennis because he can unify quite quickly

Yeah. Yeah. We've also got Lewis Neary on Saturday night. Yeah, fighting Salador

He is probably one of the most exciting fighters to watch in boxing today

Two weight world champion. He's an awful human being. but that's irrelevant when he is

just type into Google Lewis Neary Japan and then his shenanigans winning the

Bantamweight title and stuff and just blatantly not trying to make weight and then

going and knocking people out is quite audacious but yeah, 122 obviously, it's an

open division like Inoue Fulton will happen then Inoue to Panez will happen

And then it's night in the vision. There's no one there. There's Akhmad Aliyev to Panez

and Neri, basically. Because Fulton will move up as well. Yeah, Fulton definitely moves up

And I'll tell you what, Inoue versus Neri will be absolutely unbelievable if Inoue stays

at Super Bowl. Inoue against Neri. He's not going to move up again, is he? Surely

He said he wants to do Felt away. Inoue said he wants to do Featherweight

If you look at some of the Featherweight Champions there, he doesn't beat all

Of them, but there's a few that he can beat And there's a few that are quite small as well That he can beat

Look at Robesi and Ramirez, he's really a super Bantam And Aram said he wants to make that

Inoue against Robesi Because Robesi's on chief support Isn't he? Inoue got R

There's so many good fights and they're all happening. Just ignore the heavyweight division

and then you'll enjoy boxing. Ignore heavyweight and you'll enjoy it. That brings us

one fight. We unfortunately recorded it before Ortiz. Hold on. I said, whilst we were

talking about that fight. That fight will not be happening. So that means
