Is Tarragona better than Barcelona? You decide for yourself. After having been to both, my vote is for Tarragona over Barcelona. An impressive city of over 800,000 people, Tarragona is quite impressive, not just in looks, but in the historic ruins that are found all around the city. Lots to do, great food, miles of sandy beaches, and friendly people. What more could you ask for? a treat for any history lover. We stayed at the Placa de la Font Hotel and loved it. A visit to Peniscola Valencia, a city in the province often referred to as the "city in the sea" or the Gibraltar of Valencia because of the 13th-century fortress that is the Peñiscola Castle. A two-hour train ride from the Estacion del Nord in a regional train brought us to Benicarlo from where you would need a cab or bus (when they run in normal times, pre covid). A lovely beach town that is worthy of a visit. #peniscola #valencia

Is credit card use in Spain a thing? Short answer Fuggedaboutit! You can use credit cards in major stores such as El Corte Ingles or similar, but you will be hard-pressed to use them on a day-to-day basis as a rule. In Spain, like the saying goes "cash is king". Credit cards are practically non-existent unless you pay dearly for them. Don't bring this to Spain is my advice to go along with the last video. When packing for what items you can bring to Spain, I would very much advice not to bring your heavy and humongous furniture. Space here is lacking, not just in Spain (Valencia), but in most parts of Europe. #Valencia #expat life The blogs: https://nextbiteoflife.com https://expatinvalencia.com Moving to Spain course: https://expatinspaincourse.thinkific.com/courses/expat-in-spain Mentioned in the video affiliate: Naughty Naomi learns a lesson book on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3exrzNz

Where To Live In Valencia Spain. This is the first of me venturing out to capture different barrios to live if considering a move to Valencia. The Arrancapins area is my favorite barrio and had we been able to afford an apartment there, I would have stayed there for sure. Prices had gone up immensely by the time we bought (when we moved in, we were happy to see flats for about 100,000 for 3 bedrooms, and by the time we were ready, they had doubled in price. Arrancapins is part of the Extramurs district ( along with Botànic, La Roqueta, and La Petxina where we've also lived before). I love it because it has a nice mixture of locals and ex-pats (seeing upticks of more and more ex-pats). It has all the perks of Russafa without the hifalutinness (yes, l know 😀). Lower cost of apartments, nice mix of buildings, a massive gym, lots of restaurants, cafes and nightclubs. Russafa is nice, don't get me wrong, but l find that there is a cult of pretentious blowhards who think the sun shines and sets there, like they're trying to make it Valencia's version of the Hamptons, only they're not rich, but rather people with a bit of money who now feel rich compared to others because of their lower costs of living. Thankfully, it's not the majority of them. In Arrancapins, I see people with stealth money, the ones who don't feel the need to prove themselves to anyone, sort of like old money people. It's quite interesting to see and observe. Once again, let me say this is strictly MY observation and it's okay if you don't agree. Is Valencia safe to live? Spain in general is pretty safe to live, and after living here a few years, l think l can answer that question :-). Yes, it is. Since no place is perfect, I am telling you the sort of crimes that are popular in Valencia. When you consider moving to a new country, one of the things to consider is how safe the new place is.
