Wappingers Falls couple says their dog saved their lives as fire took over their home

Natasha Smith said that as a fire was filling her rented home on Dutchess Avenue with smoke back on July 5, 2025, at 1 a.m., the smoke detectors did not sound, but her dog Penelope sure did.
