So what I like to do is I like to rub a little across my hands and then make sure that it's divided evenly

Because this can get lumpy pretty quickly. And then I go through my hair and do the top of my hair and push that all the way together and make a few little spikes

Because you can still make a few spikes with this matte pomade. And then I just take a little bit extra and do the back and sides of my hair

Just to make sure that it stays in place all day. Now this really has an extreme hold and it's a matte finish so it's not that wet

So this is perfect for the longer hair of my son. And I like to push that a little to the side and get a little bit of a messy look in there
