Ingredients:
Oil (for frying, vegetable or peanut)
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or your favorite seasoning blend)
1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon hot sauce
½ cup water
16 ounces dill pickle slices (drained and dried on paper towels)
Instructions:
Heat the Oil: In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the oil to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare the Batter: In a bowl, mix the flour, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add the hot sauce and water, stirring until smooth.
Coat the Pickles: Dip the pickle slices into the batter, ensuring they are well-coated.
Fry the Pickles: Carefully place the coated pickles into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
