Balsamic glaze recipe
Sep 7, 2024
Ingredients:
2 cups balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar (optional)
Instructions:
Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan, mix the balsamic vinegar and brown sugar (if using).
Simmer: Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer. Stir occasionally.
Reduce: Continue to simmer until the mixture reduces by half and thickens to a syrupy consistency. This usually takes about 20-25 minutes.
Cool: Remove from heat and let it cool. The glaze will continue to thicken as it cools.
Store: Pour the glaze into a jar or bottle and store it in the refrigerator.
Tips:
Sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter glaze, you can add more brown sugar or substitute with honey or maple syrup.
Consistency: If the glaze becomes too thick, you can thin it out with a little water.
This balsamic glaze is perfect for drizzling over salads, grilled vegetables, meats, or even desserts like strawberries and vanilla ice cream. Enjoy
