Well, my first instrument was actually
0:02
playing guitar. Um, and I think
0:04
obviously that came from um for people
0:07
that don't know um my dad is um and has
0:09
been a guitarist for a very long time.
0:12
Um, ever since I remember, you know,
0:14
like we had guitars like floating around
0:16
in our house and, um, I guess like, you
0:20
know, I was listening to rock music, um,
0:22
literally from the womb. [laughter]
0:25
Um, and I was, you know, born and bred
0:27
on rock and roll. And I guess like I
0:30
kind of reached out to my dad when I was
0:32
old enough. And I remember getting a
0:34
guitar for probably my like sixth or
0:36
seventh birthday. And funnily enough,

0:52
on guitar and then I think something
0:56
that my dad really kind of um, you know,
0:59
he definitely laid out the facts to me
1:01
pretty early on and he said, "Look, like
1:03
even if you're going to just do guitar,
1:05
like it's really um, you know, quite
1:08
good if you you learn how to sing, you
1:10
know, it's it's it's a very good um, you
1:13
know, quality to have as a musician."
1:15
And um, it's funny because I kind of I
1:18
fell in love with singing even more so.
1:20
when um I got singing lessons and the
1:23
rest is kind of history, I
