I'm Dave and I'm here to tell you why
0:01
you should care about this hydrogen
0:03
announcement there's a couple reasons
0:05
first of all now we know that the Ram
0:07
5500 4500 chassis cabs will actually
0:11
continue in production which is nice to
0:12
know it's really the first confirmation
0:15
that we've gotten since Atlantis was
0:16
created that this would be the case
0:19
number two is that it tells us that the
0:22
future is probably uh for the hydrogen
0:25
that was promised by stantis we know now
0:28
that the future is probably with fuel
0:30
cells and not with the cumins B engine
0:33
the 6.7 L diesel monster that's in
0:35
current Ram trucks uh which has been
0:37
converted for hydrogen use by cumin
0:40
that's probably not going to be the way
0:42
that Ram goes and that makes sense
0:44
because they've got the technology from
0:46
PUO from Europe uh where they've used
0:50
hydrogen as an alternative to batteries
0:53
making their Vans they can build them
0:55
with either one without changing uh the
0:58
basic design which is really pretty cool
1:00
and pretty clever and I think that
1:01
they're still the only people who do
1:03
that so this is actually kind of of a uh
1:07
big deal announcement in two ways even
1:09
though God only knows what the timetable
1:11
is going to look like because all that
1:13
they're saying is they'll probably start
1:15
development after production starts in
1:18
Poland of the hydrogen powered V uh
1:21
commercial Vans the bigger hydrogen
1:23
powered commercial Vans and other
1:25
vehicles uh for stellantis in Europe so
