how do you get a Dodge Hornet over
0:02
$50,000 well first you have to remember
0:04
it's priced against the Rav 4 Prime not
0:08
the standard Rav 4 which is the plug-in
0:11
hybrid Rav 4 and they have similar
0:13
speeds except that in the Rav 4 you
0:16
don't have to use powers shot uh now the
0:19
Hornet RT plus comes with lots and lots
0:21
of luxury features so we're talking
0:24
about a starting price of
0:26
$46,400 to begin with and then you've
0:28
got $15.95
0:30
for the destination and about $600 for
0:33
any color paint except black because
0:36
apparently the ghost of Henry Ford
0:38
designed the pricing here there's a long
0:40
host of luxury and safety items which
0:42
I'm not really going to get into uh the
0:45
seats are black but they are also in the
0:49
front 8way power heated and ventilated
0:52
which is pretty cool and you've got a
0:53
nice 10-in big screen with navigation
0:56
and a 12in uh digital gauge cluster
1:01
and as I already said you have to pay
1:03
about $500 to get it painted any color
1:06
color other than black but the thing
1:08
that puts it over
1:09
$50,000 is the black top package on this
1:13
particular model which is
1:15
$1,600 for some glossy caps and moldings
1:19
uh glossy black wheels and some dark
1:21
badges which seems like it might be
1:23
slightly overpriced the warranties are
1:26
really good it's 8 years or 100,000 Mi
1:28
on the high voltage battery and the
1:30
hybrid system 560 on the powertrain and
1:34
336 Bumper to Bumper uh so that's a
1:38
$50,000
1:40
85
1:42
uh so there's your
1:44
$50,000 or your
1:47
50,8 Dodge Hornet it is a fully loaded
1:50
RT it has quite fast acceleration but
1:53
you still get 29 MP gallon combined
1:56
according to the EPA and if you only
1:59
drive it for 32 M at a time you can go
2:01
all on electric for about 77 MP gallon
2:07
equivalents so that
2:10
is with various rebates and incentives
2:13
and discounting of course it will
2:15
probably come to much less than that
2:16
$50,000 when you actually go to try one
2:19
out at your local dealership and it's
2:21
probably quite a good deal when you take
2:24
a look at the actual true real bottom
2:26
line that you'll actually pay
